  1. 2022 Mustang Mach 1 Whipple Stage 1 Supercharger Dyno

I disagree. The 18% loss isn't realistic in a scenario running to redline. That's way too high for these cars. I was using the 18% loss due to only revving to 6500 RPM in both your stock and Whipped dyno. Your stock and supercharged dyno was an apples to apples comparison because they both...
  2. 2022 Mustang Mach 1 Whipple Stage 1 Supercharger Dyno

Thanks. That makes more sense. 18% loss when only revving to 6500 RPM sounds reasonable for the stock numbers assuming the Ford 480 rating is accurate. However, as you said, using that same 18% should have gotten 635 to the tires with the Whipple (revving to the same 6500 RPM) if the 775...
  3. Whipple Install and oil weight thoughts

I use 5W30 also. Mine doesn't make any ticking noises, but it only has maybe 7k miles on it.
  4. 2022 Mustang Mach 1 Whipple Stage 1 Supercharger Dyno

Your numbers still seem extremely low. I get the impact of the lower RPM and higher altitude, but I'm having trouble following your logic.... If I read correctly, both of your dyno runs were on the same dyno (same altitude) and both up to 6,500 RPM. Given this information I would expect both...
  5. I still use Liquid Glass

Im a long time user of LG. I just emptied my last can. Based off what I read here, my only options is to buy one of the original bottles of ebay for $75?
  6. New Roush install. Bucking/surging/hesitating. Logs attached

Those are good numbers for a stock 727 setup. Your TQ numbers are really high though. You would normally expect around 550 at the tires with one of these setups. Is the surging completely gone? If so, I might give my tuner one more shot at clearing that up and then switch if needed. Also...
  7. New Roush install. Bucking/surging/hesitating. Logs attached

so how is your car running? I have a similar issue with my car. My tuner got rid of 90% of the surge, but it’s still slightly there when cruising at a constant speed. It was unbearable before they made a few revisions.
  8. Would you buy it?

My 16 has the Sync3. Isn't the 2015 the same?
  9. Updated - New Long Block for Blue Smoke on Passenger side exhaust

I don't know how many threads are in the Coyote heads, but I haven't heard of any issues. My 2004 Cobra got the updated heads with 9 threads. The 2003s only had 3 I think and they would occasionally blow out plugs under higher levels of boost. I think that is the best outcome you could ask for.
  10. Updated - New Long Block for Blue Smoke on Passenger side exhaust

A full quart every 1,000 miles is way too much for a car with less than 20k miles. I know it's a different manufacturer, but just for reference I had a V8 turbo engine replaced in a BMW X5 because it was using a quart every 700-1000 miles. If the issue was valvetrain related they would have...
  11. Difference of octane boosters

I do the same thing as the guy above 3-4 ounce of Boostane in a tank brings 93 up to about 96 I think. I just use it as a safe guard in case I get a bad tank of gass. Based off the logs, the car does add a few more degrees of timing with the Boostane.
  12. Updated - New Long Block for Blue Smoke on Passenger side exhaust

Definitely something going on with that passenger side bank. How many miles on it and how much oil does it use between changes?
  13. False knock? Looking for help.

Let us know the results. I would be surprised if you find out that this is real detonation with running only 6.5 LBs of boost and the timing I see in your logs. I'm running 10 LBs and my car adds timing up to a total of 20 degrees with just 3-4 ounces of boostane.
  14. False knock? Looking for help.

So pump gas and a can of octane booster got the same results for run 1 and 2? If it was actual engine knock, then I would expect to see an improvement here. I see they both pulled around 5 degrees of timing. This supports the idea that is is in fact false knock. Your 3rd run looks great. I...
  15. What is the highest octane recommended for a supercharged engine

This is pretty much what I follow. I add 3-4 oz of boostane to a tank of 93. I think it puts me around 96 or so. Just a little safety against bad fuel. My car is on an aftermarket 93 octane tune. Without the boostane it usually -1 to +1 for knock and around 16 degrees timing. With just a...
  16. False knock? Looking for help.

What leads you to believe it is false knock? Round 1 logs show a lot of knock with it consistently pulling around 5 degrees or more. you added higher octane fuel for Round 3 (I checked the first 2 logs) and it detected no knock and was adding 3+ degrees of timing. That much of a difference...
  17. Dealing with haze or swirly scratches on the soft plastic of the rear GT panel...

The plastic is really soft. I do the same thing and just hit it with my porter-cable and a swirl remover. Looks like new. Air dry it after washing.
  18. Roush connector

Let is know how you like it once you have it up and running.
  19. Safety/Reliability of recent superchargers?

    That's where mine came from.
  20. Did you buy your mustang for a collector car

I don't see any of the S550 GTs being much of a collectors car 25 years from now unless it is close to mint condition with low miles. Kind of like the 90s fox bodies. It is hard to find a nice one anymore with low miles. My 2016 might fall into that category some day as it only has 6k miles on...
