I have both. They are part of an overall plan.
I dont think any single item, or few items like this, is going to make a "huge" difference in handling. Its all part of a system to tighten up and reinforce the car. Tightening and reinforcing the chassis allows the suspension to articulate more...
I got the Spherical Gripper knob. I LOVE the action in this shifter. A shame that the shifter and all its parts are buried... it really is a beautiful piece of work.
Ehhhh... it's no big deal. Nothing but clips and screws and 1 electrical connector. Pulling on the panels to unhook the clips can be a bit daunting the first time.
Alex, I'm a pretty good wrench turner and have a lift, yet this has taken about 4 hours so far. Access is quite tight and if my hands were any larger, it would have been more than painful. I have the exhaust clamps off and the trans dropped as far as it will go, and still had to pull it down and...
They would physically work, sure, I mean, tires are tires as long as they dont rub, right? Understand you're not using them in the snow, and the DWS06 is an excellent high performance all season tire.
But these are 1.3" shorter F and 1.7" shorter R. Thats gonna lower the chassis of the car .65"...
I did the Vorshlag on my Mach 1. Had to trim the plastic surround above the exhaust tips as it was slightly holding the bumper cover up. Solid as a rock.
As another TOTD / Knoxville local along with @skinnyb , i concur with the things he says. Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg is fun to visit if you've never been there, but its not a destination for locals. Way too many people and traffic gets INSANE. Parking is a bitch. The Dragon is fun, you'll be...
I had the same debate. I also really liked the stock sound, just needed a little bit... More. Decided on the Switchfire because of the flow design vs an H has to be better. And decided against a normal X because I didnt like the tinniness that I've heard on others. Considered some LT's, but...
Did a few new things on the Mach 1 this week.
Installed a Vorshlag rear tow hook. No photo of it done, but here's part of the process...
Took the Chickadee out for a day downtown, got some cool pics of the M1 in the parking garage.
And then just yesterday, installed a Borla Switchfire...
I have one coming, too. Be here today. No problems with the stock shifter, just want it faster and more precise. I have a lift so I'll be doing it myself.
