The 2020+ GT500s have metal grilles with a thin black coating that is prone to chips from rocks, rubber bits and harder insects. I show my solution in this short video!

Ahh, the g-meter. I didn’t reset it prior to the day. I never check it… not sure what it shows.

I use my phone. I checked it against a transponder at Hallett and it was within .1 second against their official track timer that I strapped to my car. Yes, there are external GPS units that are supposed to be more accurate, but my setup works just fine for what I do.
