  1. Places in MD or VA to legally test the car's limits

Hi all, I've spent some time looking around at various race ways in the area, and am struggling to figure out where I could go on a Saturday and hit triple digit speeds without getting a ticket. An abandoned runway would be perfect :D. Does anyone know of tracks, closed roads, or something...
  2. MBRP Street Catback

agreed, great experience with beefcake on pricing and shipping
  3. MBRP Street Catback

I also have the Street Series. Rasp is still there at the high RPM range, but it has definitely faded away over time. Still very happy with the sound.
  4. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

Just had the PP2 installed on mine - I think the initial start is a touch more aggressive, but barely so. could just be my imagination. Personally, I noticed a change in engine sound in the mid-RPM range, which I would classify as a bit louder, again nothing significantly different but...
  5. Exhaust Installation in Northern Virginia

I can highly recommend Arlington Auto Care - they installed my MBRP catback for $200, and took extra care making sure it was properly aligned. Before they tightened everything down, they asked me to come out and make sure I was happy with the alignment/distance the tips were protruding. They...
  6. The Small Questions Thread

While that certainly may be it, I think that the mirrors (side and rearview) are not mounted using a strong mount. For example, I had that vibration issue, and had my rear diff replaced, which fixed the issue. However, if you play music at a moderate, comfortable volume, the bass will cause...
  7. Update Base Sound System Speakers

Got it - I think my priority is not necessarily achieving the perfect bass for my music tastes, but rather to just improve the sound without modifying the head unit I suppose. I'll have to dig around, but what I would hope I could do is purchase a set of "plug and play" speakers to replace...
  8. Update Base Sound System Speakers

I'm going to piggyback this question - I have the base system in my S550 and am frustrated with the audio quality, and lack of bass. I'm wondering if there are any "plug and play" sets of speakers I could purchase to have installed? Would this be effective? Also, would a sub be required for...
  9. Oil separator

I installed my JLT catch can about 500 miles ago. Just checked and there is about half an inch of oil in the thing - very happy that is not ending up in the engine. definitely recommend these things for the low cost.
  10. Ticking/Clicking Noise Consistent with Vehicle Speed

Hi all, Figured I would get people's opinions on here prior to bringing up the issue with my dealer. Lately, I've noticed a ticking sound, which increases in speed as the vehicle speed increases, and decreases the same way. When the car is cold, I can hear it with the windows up - sounds...
  11. Popping exhaust: Yes please.

only mod to my car is the MBRP street catback, and that thing pops at least once every time i take my foot off the gas. it wasn't audible with the stock exhaust
  12. Popping exhaust: Yes please.

Agreed with the MBRP street + stock tune. its wonderful and addicting:cheers:
  13. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

    Thanks - I'll give that a shot
  14. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

Meant to provide my update sooner, however also like Cobra Jet I had my rear diff replaced with a new one from the factory at 1000 miles, and I would say that the vibration is 98% corrected. I think I am still feeling some kind of vibration at 65-75 mph, however it is so insignificant I still...
  15. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

dropped off my '17 gt to have a new rear driveline assembly put in the car... at 800 miles... because it vibrates at highway speeds :( such fun
  16. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

What did you do after the vibration came back? Any further resolution? Sorry to hear it re-emerged for you. My car has 800 miles on it, and they are replacing the rear diff along with the rest of the rear assembly - hoping that knocks it out for good. Do you suspect that replacing the rear...
  17. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

Another update - I have the car back, dealer has ordered an entire rear assembly from Ford, will arrive in a few weeks. They also test drove some of their own new inventory to benchmark the vibration against my car and discovered that their new ones have the issue, but worse than mine! They...
  18. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

Thanks - yea I have read every page of this thread actually haha. I would hope that the dealer would know that it needs to be balanced upon install... Shouldn't need my input for that one. I do not want to go the hose clamp route - I'm gonna keep after the dealer/Ford to make it right. Either...
  19. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

I wish you were wrong, but today they replaced the driveshaft, and lo and behold I get a call from them at 5pm saying that the vibration is still persistent. They reached out to Ford Engineering for assistance, waiting on an email back and I should be getting an update tomorrow morning. I have...
  20. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

They did not actually - I will ask for numbers. Anyway dealer called today informing me that they have ordered a new driveshaft... should be installed in a few days. Crazy a brand new car needs a brand new driveshaft! Just hoping it resolves the issue. Will be sure to update.
