  1. Continental ExtremeContact Sport the new Conti DW Tire | Arriving in February

Thanks, Paul. Not doubting you at all. Just want someone with AirLift to chime in. I don't want to spend a $1000+ on tires and have to be "careful" when using the system. Personally, I've only gone to "zero" once and that was when I first installed the system and needed to check function. I...
  2. AirLift 3P front end noise with hard cornering

I have ramps. Could use those for front wheels, no?
  3. AirLift 3P front end noise with hard cornering

No, I haven't tried this yet, but someone else said to try the same thing. I did everything on jack stands, so maybe this is it. So what you're saying is, the tires and suspension need to be planted/supported and the control arm bolts loosened so that it can settle with weight on the...
  4. Continental ExtremeContact Sport the new Conti DW Tire | Arriving in February

Khyber. So, you're aired out in this picture, correct? You'd never drive with it this low, yes? So, if it's close, but not doing damage, 305/35/20 rear, 275/35/20 front, should be fine, like Paul states. However, if you can state from experience, that this is troublesome or something you have to...
  5. Front grill design with lights something different.

This. And....is that your stock grill with factory centers cut out?
  6. AirLift 3P front end noise with hard cornering

Well, the product of doing my own Airlift install are rearing it's head. I have a noise in the front end that's occurring ONLY when I push the car really hard into corners. It sounds like a ratcheting metal noise. Meaning, as I push the car and weight is shifted onto the front suspension, it...
  7. Front grill design with lights something different.

Roh92cp, looks great and functions well. Outstanding. Thanks for sharing/documenting your ideas and doing the foot work for idiots like myself.
  8. Supporting mods for supercharger?

Something I overlooked, that a member (db252), brought up was the Reische 170 degree thermostat. That's if your kit doesn't come with one. Procharger or Paxton systems may not need it, but the guys running Whipples use it.
  9. Dyno results

Beautiful car! I'd be happy with those results too. Enjoy.
  10. Just installed whipple stage 2

Fun? I'm not there yet. But after going for a ride in your OW beast, I can finally say I'm excited and looking forward to turning some wrenches.
  11. Continental ExtremeContact Sport the new Conti DW Tire | Arriving in February

So, Kyber, you're on Air and you had to set negative camber in the rear with 305's? So, "safe" would be to run 295's in the rear? As far as I remember, HRE and Velgen rears are the same offset, +45. If it works for you, without adjusting rear camber, I'd do 305's. If you had to mess with rear...
  12. Continental ExtremeContact Sport the new Conti DW Tire | Arriving in February

Sorry about that. Ya, offset is kinda important. HRE FF01's F: +35, R: +45. I forgot to include details because I had PM'd Paul, including my wheel configuration. Don't want to run negative camber for larger wheels.
  13. Whipple install quotes. Pulling Engine out for OPG's??? WTHeck?

Holy Cow! Ya, I get the cost to run a shop, and cover expenses if something is done wrong by said shop, but that's ludicrous. Sounds like you got some awesome mods done for a reasonable price. Congratulations.
  14. HRE Wheels | What do you think of our new finishes?

    Day um! :eyebulge:
  15. Continental ExtremeContact Sport the new Conti DW Tire | Arriving in February

Paul@PKAUTODESIGN. Sir, with my AirLift your recommendation is F:255/35/20 R:295/35/20. I would consider these tires after seeing db252's Conti set up. But the Conti's don't offer a 295 for the rear. Would the 305's work or would it be too risky for airing out? What do you recommend for an...
  16. Just installed whipple stage 2

Congratulations! Glad to hear that you're impressed with the quality, fit and finish. Let us know how your fan set up comes out.
  17. Whipple install quotes. Pulling Engine out for OPG's??? WTHeck?

Thank you for the recommendation, Sir. Dixon is really close, but I've decided to tackle my own project with the help of fellow 6g member db252. Dave has done his own OPG, CS, damper and Whipple install and has generously offered to help me with mine. I've decided to save some $$$ and learn a...
  18. Whipple install quotes. Pulling Engine out for OPG's??? WTHeck?

100% agree. Couldn't have said it better. Very appreciative to all the members that help out. Hopefully I can return the favor.
  19. Whipple install quotes. Pulling Engine out for OPG's??? WTHeck?

Gonna be a fun time no doubt! I think once we get started, I'll be excited. Right now I'm having visions of my brand new car blowing up or leaking all over the floor after we put it back together. Glad we ran into each other. Couldn't do this without you and Roh. Let's roll!
  20. Whipple install quotes. Pulling Engine out for OPG's??? WTHeck?

So, db252 and I are probably gonna end up doing the OPG and Whipple install. He's done both before and lives pretty close to me. I'll be taking a ton of pics as we go. I'll post them when I get a chance.
