Ford is picking up the cost through my ESP. Also Ford was called. My impression was Ford is aware but there is not enough of a problem for them to be concerned about the issue.
That hose has a heavy rubber middle section. Wouldn't that absorb or dampen the vibrations? Also would it lessen any twisting if there were bad motor mounts? Anyone have any thoughts on this?
My HP hose was replaced today and the hose was cracked on the bend by the compressor end.
The other GT350 that was in shop at the same time mine was, also had the exact same crack in the exact same spot as mine. The other GT350 was a 2020 with 16k miles.
What would cause this crack?
When you hear the wine, hit the AC button. Did the wine stop? Did it come back when you turn the AC back on? If so it's most likely your compressor. I had one that last a long time before it stop and another that went quick.
And the verdict is in.... It's the HP hose. This is #5 and #4 for this summer. Crack at the weld point again. Anyone care to guess why the weld is breaking? Heat, vibrations, poor quality parts?
The dealership put a call into Ford.
