Good info Andy, I'm probably going to order an F800 from the UK like I did with my F770 (Aus pricing a joke). I'll replace the 770 with the 800 and use the 770 on our other car. Thanks again.
  2. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

The problem here is the poorly engineered oil cooler in the first place so after an engine change or even a new car you still have the same poorly designed OC. The problem in the 15-17 RHD Mustangs is not going away and will always be a potential major failure point, new engine or not.
  3. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

So basically the TSB that refers to pre 26 July 16 built cars in the affected range that can be subject to a possible failure can now be put to bed as highly inaccurate information from Ford as TeamDenno's car was built Jan17. This is a big deal!!!!!! Our RHD 15-17, GT mustangs are a ticking...
  4. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

I went to have my first yearly service done today and it was quite interesting. After all the formalities I discussed the oil cooler issue with the agent handling my car who referred me to the manager. At all stages they were polite and informative. They went into a lot of detail about defective...
  5. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

In fact after reading the statements by Ford Australia again it's all just corporate gobildy goop. They just go around in circles and of course don't mention what happens outside warranty with a known defect from manufacture. Really pathetic behaviour.
  6. Oil cooler failure - first hand experiences?

So let me get this right, the official statement that came from Ford recently stated the problem only affected RHD GT's up to a July 16 build (mine Oct16). However in a previous post the problem has been identified well into 2017 built GT''s. Is the official Ford statement a guess, inaccurate...

Sorry if this has already been covered however I can't see anywhere how to upgrade the firmware on a Thinkware F770 on a Mac. Just Zip files everywhere.
  9. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Hi Bob, I've only had it on for a few hours and took it for a quick test drive. As the wheel is quite a bit thicker than stock it cuts down the visibility of the main instruments a tad, in particular the tacho for me. I think the main thing is It feels noticeably thicker which will take a bit...
  10. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Installed my new steering wheel today
  11. What is this light

Ok thanks, it appears mine is intermittent, working now.
  12. What is this light

This light mounted at the top of the rear windshield seems to be another thing on these cars that does not work. I am sure I've photos of it lit up like a 3rd brake light, Does anyone know anything about it. Nothing much out there that I could find. Wow the flash sure picks up the dust, been a...
  13. Speedometer recalibration

I plan on getting different wheels and tyres soon and I would like to recalibrate my speedo. Knowing there is even a small error will annoy me. I saw somewhere on this forum the procedure however I now can't find it. Does anyone have any info on this.
  14. Front parking sensors question

Hi Rohan, Photo attached of the on/off button below the trunk release, power up is on, button push to off, to get rid of warning. Control box and small speaker hidden under the dash. Can change the parameters. Call Tim for pricing as I think has changed slightly recently and mention 6G. Very...
  15. Australian spec Mustang owners photos

Hi Radar, Custom plates through Vic Roads, a rip off like most things in this country now, from memory $540 or thereabouts. Cost of the car I think is very reasonable though. I think all colours on this car including the discontinued ones look great. IMHO any colour only enhances the gorgeous...
  16. Front parking sensors question

Tim at work. He uses a special tool to cut the holes in the bumper and the sensor kit comes from Italy.
  17. Front parking sensors question

Tim from MCS did my front sensors a few weeks ago and did a great job. I don't think they will pick up normal height gutters however if anything protrudes above them I believe they will. Sensors already saved me once so they have already paid for themselves. Photo showing what they look like.

Got my new toy three weeks ago. Absolutely love it, great to drive and my first V8 since 1986. Uhhh :headbonk:forgot to clean the wheels.
  19. Clutch Springs

Hi fellow Manual transmission drivers, I got my new toy three weeks ago and I'm loving it. I was surprised that the gear changes are relatively straight forward and easy considering every thing I've read about the shifter on the MT82. I do have an MGW race spec sitting on the garage shelf...
  20. Tyre and wheel advice

Wow, thanks Burkey, great information. I assume they would fit inside the guard and be legal.
