Usually because they don't offer it? I special ordered my car and it still wasn't exactly the combination I wanted. I wanted Grabber Blue, Performance Pack, Convertible, with an auto. If I waited a year I could have gotten a PP convertible with the auto, but no grabber blue. There's always at...

Lol welcome to the permanent dilemma of buying a mustang. The color you want The options you want (Performance Pack, B+0, Etc.) The features you want (DI, convertible, Etc.) pick two, you may not have all three... ever.

Maybe the outside is so mild because all the big changes are on the interior....

H lol perhaps my wording made me sound a bit greedy. I just meant before I could afford anything like it, there were convertible versions of the Shelby GT500, Cobra, Etc. Living in Arizona with year round drop top weather it's got me itching for something like that from this chassis.

Possible, I'm also wondering if they're just becoming too powerful to do it without adding too much weight in stiffening components.

True... guess I could always keep my fingers crossed for a Gt500 convertible

I mean.. all of the prior GT500's came in convertible, as did the Cobra from 94-04. So there is precedent for it.

Another thing that came to mind is I kind of hope they'll offer this trim in convertible as well. The S550 chassis is one of the few that has yet to offer any high performance convertible variants.

Took these photos at Barrett Jackson because I had similar thoughts. At first glance it appears it might fit, but the engine itself also appears lower than ours(could just be an optical illusion).

And I hope this one doesn't either. I'd really like to see a move past the retro stuff. A modern sports car take on the mach 1 would be great.

If they use existing fenders from the gt350 do they still need to do crash testing?

Interesting. thanks for the info. I'm kind of hoping for wider fenders, not a fan of the poke.

Do the PP2 front wheels/tires normally stick out that far? Or is it safe to assume that this will get wider fenders?

I'd really like to see a 5.2 CPC N/A motor paired with the 10 speed auto and maybe a slightly updated/revised interior and exterior. If they can skip the kitschy retro nonsense and give us a more modern take I'd be in. The Auto and the CPC would be enough to differentiate it from the GT350 so...

After flip flopping back and forth between wanting 19's or 20's these are the pics that finally settled it for me that the 20's are perfect. Thanks!
