Take it off the control arm and mount it to the chassis. You should have enough leverage with the shock to break the ball loose in the PTFE lined race.

Looks like it's drooped out a little. I would put a jack under the lower control arm and slowly jack it up to raise the upper shock mount into place.

Check your front subframe/k-member mounting bolts.

In order to adjust the camber you will need to either remove the assembly from the car or cut a larger center hole in your tower.

I can't speak for other brands but that jack would work with our full length rails.

We designed ours taller so the pinch weld would be protected not only during the jacking process but also speed bumps and other crazy driveway situations.

With all the testing we did it was determined it wasn't necessary to increase bump travel at the wheel by more than 1.25 inches. Keep in mind as you raise the upper shock mount you also loose droop travel.

As said above the key to keep this from happening is to run a progressive bumpstop to keep the shock from bottoming internally.
