  1. Lemon Law Thread: How many have or are filing Lemon Law for their S550?

there are some strange laws regarding branding titles and lemon cars. especially when they cross state lines. At least carfax should show it. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/26/automobiles/26LEMON.html
  2. Error codes C14000 and C41500

did you ever find out what c41500 was?
  3. Seeing as CUVS are all the rage...

Then again the 4 door Porsches outsell the 2 door Porsches 3 to 1 https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/annual-report/en.html still strange though, but some people like strange
  4. Car shut off without warning.

you can't restart the car until you come to complete stop right? I find this to be a bit dangerous since the start button isn't exactly shielded from clumsy hands. that said, some other ford have issues with the throttle bodies that cause a similar problem. could be that.
  5. Seeing as CUVS are all the rage...

kinda of reminds me of the Nissan Gripz concept
  6. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

I've been having a suspicion that, in order to reduce NVH, Ford put super soft bushings at the engine mounts, transmission mounts, and rear subframe/ differential. And it's a combination of all that and the driveline alignment that makes it impossible to pin down. Also, I'm positive the...
  7. Clutch gone after 7,000 miles - No Warranty

I'm definitely curious about this to. Is there some type of a safety feature? why on earth would a burnt out clutch cause starting issues or the other problem you stated? I'd be a little concerned they aren't telling you the whole story.
  8. Latest update from Ford Performance Tune

so it raised the rev limiter? interesting
  9. Clutch gone after 7,000 miles - No Warranty

I thought you can't resurface a dual mass flywheel ? Sucks it sounds like the previous owner really beat on it. I'm at 18k miles with no issues. There have only been 1 or two posts similar to yours so it doesn't seem common for a clutch to go that early.
  10. Lemon Law Thread: How many have or are filing Lemon Law for their S550?

if you can find the recent arbitration cases for your state it may make it more clear whether or not yours will hold water. CT uses the department of consumer protection to facilitate the cases, and not the BBB. their website has all the recent ones laid out. Here's one for a Hyundai Sonata...
  11. opinion on lemoning or waiting

I've taken my car in ford for the 5th or 6th time for driveline vibrations, and before I went and picked it up I told myself I was going to go down the lemon law route if it wasn't fixed. Well I went for a drive with the mechanic; the vibration is still there but *now* he understand what...
  12. Manual gear box making a weird loud sound when engaging clutch

mine does that sometimes. never liked it but it didn't seem to do anything. I always figured it was normal, but mine isn't as repeatable as yours. For me it happens if I accidentally bog it down in 1st by not applying the gas enough and then push the clutch in to get it back
  13. Replaced compressor and water pump (under warranty)

I don't know, If one goes it might take the other one out. so might be more likely than you think, given that one experiences a problem at all.
  14. Ford Performance GT350 CAI for the EBM

Anyone installed this yet? Noticed the instructions said it requires a tune to work, can anyone confirm that it'll work fine without?
  15. Cobb stg 1 91 tune

It looks like he ordered an intercooler just before he blew it but never mentions if it's installed or not. Not listed in his sig. just pointing it out.
  16. Vibration between 50 & 70 mph

I have the same gripe. One time I dropped my car off on a Monday, they said it would be ready Thursday, but they'd call to update me on Wednesday. They didn't call me until the following Tuesday to pick up the finished car, acted like it was no big deal. On the way home it exhibited the same...
  17. Adding 3rd FOB

The manual gives explicit instructions on how to reprogram a FOB. The only thing I found is where it says "press" the start button, you have to hold it down for a few seconds. But reprogramming it was very easy. Just need two already programmed keys to program a third. Also, you might need to...
  18. Official EcoBoost Warranty Preserving Tune!

your original drivetrain warranty was 5/60, after the tune it will become 3/36. I would have a very hard time believeing that the 100k certified pre owned warranty would stand at all.
  19. Official EcoBoost Warranty Preserving Tune!

the ford tune will nullify your CPO powertrain warranty and bring you back to 3 years, 36k miles from date of manufacture. might want to rethink that, or at least read the fine print before you spend any money.
  20. Latest update from Ford Performance Tune

Ford first started releasing info on this in dec 2014. so hopefully they have a head start  http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/buying-maintenance/news/a24602/ford-racing-really-wants-you-to-mod-ecoboost-engines/
