I put on a lot of Heatshield on my exhaust pipes all around the differential cover and still had overheating issues at Buttonwillow. I recently ordered this finned differential cover and now waiting for Santa to deliver. I plan on using Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 and some Motorkote. I would...
The GT350 HP is with the hood up (open air element). It doesn't have 526HP until you drive it fast enough to give it enough air. I would recommend the PP2 (closed box), and add E85 & tune to get to 500HP+. Also, you avoid paying for the dealer markup. I would also recommend ordering the PP2...
Last night, I removed the fixed carbon filter from the stock CAI and dremeled the plastic attachments to improve air flow. Tomorrow, I will install the factory CAI and install a new tune.
I forgot to mention that one of the things we tried at the track was to clean the high flow oiled air filter. I banged the filter against a metal trash can. It left a decent amount of oil on the trash can. But much worse, a large amount of rusty fine grit particles fell out of the oiled filter.
FYI, I recently tracked my car at Buttonwillow with the Steeda Mustang GT ProFlow Closed Cold Air Intake and the car started having hesitation and stuttering under heavy throttle. 30 seconds later, the car would go into limp mode. We tried a bunch of things to no avail. Driving home, limp...
Interestingly, regarding your Steeda S550 Mustang GT Proflow Closed Cold Air Intake 5.0L (2015-2020), Lund Tunes is recommending either you utilize the no-tune plastic air restrictor "insert" included in the kit or replace with the factory CAI.
"With the design of that intake the MAF signal is...
I have tuned my 2019 Ford Mustang GT and the nearby dealerships know it. And nobody has blinked an eye and said that my warranties have been voided. All they have asked of me so far is that when I visit the dealerships with any issue(s), I must return the car to the stock tune so that the Ford...
I also love the customizable digital dash. I don't know what crazy focus group Ford put together and asked if they would like a front perimeter sensor, but I believe most new owners would want one or a front parking camera.
I really like FordPass app a.k.a. the poorman's lojack. It's great...
As for the premium floor liners, they're just heavy duty, all-weather floor mats with the pony logo. I wanted something to last a long time and protect my carpet mats.
I wish Ford offered some sort of front camera or front perimeter parking sensor. One of the benefits of the Smart and Safe...
I factory ordered the 2019 PP2 in Orange Fury. I got 401A, Safe & Smart, anti-theft, active valve, B&O and even the premium floor liners. Never going to sell it. It is so fun to drive.
After reading this entire thread, I too believe that the Heatshield Products Exhaust Pipe Heat Shield kits would be the most economical and easiest solution to this issue. I plan on purchasing this product and testing it at Chuckwalla in February.
