  1. Novice impression - Took my GT-PP to the Auto-Cross Today

I drive my RE71R with just over -2 camber daily. I've now corded 2 and worn the other 2 so low I'm going to find some DWS or similar to get through our mild winter. I drove 900 miles each way to Nationals, did pretty well, and drove home on them. These are by far my most favorite street tires...
  2. Novice impression - Took my GT-PP to the Auto-Cross Today

Tires are a HUGE difference. Put Bridgestone 275/35/19 RE71R on all 4 wheels. Your speed will be slightly off but the grip, especially accelerating will make it a ton faster. If you stick with it, get a different set of wheels for the street and move the TPMS sensors to those, you don't need...
  3. Novice impression - Took my GT-PP to the Auto-Cross Today

Glad you liked it. With some minor changes, it gets a lot better too.
  4. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

The way our limiter works, I think you'll more realistically high 55.9mph in 2nd.
  5. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

Yes they absolutely can as long as you have enough thread engagement to pass tech/be safe. The problem is all decent offerings for fronts have offsets the wrong way where spacers would make the problem worse (ET35 for example). You'd instead have to mill 3mm off the wheel to make it ET38.
  6. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

Yes. This is Street class, which means you have to think in terms of custom wheels on many cars. Personally I don't think 18s will be the way to go. I researched it a ton, the thrust curve is just garbage, the Gen6 Camaro manual will walk the car so badly on the same size rears. Better off...
  7. Winter tire opinions - What do you use?

We're all well aware what's on the car stock. The point was narrower in snows works better. Apparently you have it figured out, good luck.
  8. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

If you came from STX, forget everything you read in section 14, start reading section 13 of the rulebook. Correct, ET38 for PP fronts, ET45.5 for PP rears. (I ran STX in an RX8 and BRZ)
  9. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

Yes. Stock diameter +/- 1". Must run stock width at each corner, and offset can change +/- 7mm.
  10. Winter tire opinions - What do you use?

Will fit depending on offset. I run 275s on the front of mine. As others have said, wider tires isn't ideal for snow tires.
  11. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

ET38 is the min we can run, max doesnt matter because of the big brakes you'll be in the sub ET42 range is my guess. 18's have been legal since the car was classed, all part of the Street class setup in 2014.
  12. SCCA STP autocross class power options

I'll see if Dennis knows since he's rigged up stuff for this ESP car. I know Hardy is going to make something specific for the S550. I'm going to get them if I go to STP or not because it would allow for better lowering springs for street use if I go another route for autox and keep the s550 for...
  13. SCCA STP autocross class power options

My car is a PP. Looks like from those I've talked to the headers are low gains for us with the HFC still there. Intake seems to have a mixed bag of reviews. Tune we had to do anyway for the rev limiter. I'll probably do the rest later but in the initial build it doesn't seem a good bang for buck...
  14. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

Looks really good. Getting more and more jealous of your exhaust. :)
  15. Going to first autocross

Pressures are usually based on weight primarily and camber secondary, then fine tune. Once you have done the camber mod legal for FS and proper tires, I run 32f/29r. Sam would not recommend higher pressures in the rear of the S550 in FS. Also for the OP, consider the new STP class. It's much...
  16. Proposed Solo Class STP(ony)

It's a good question. Probably since before I would need to do that it would likely be March and some other guinea pigs would have. :)
  17. How high can you raise the rev limit?

So if you aren't allowed to touch those, 7600 is safe(er) limit?
  18. How high can you raise the rev limit?

Are oil pump gears the weakest link rev'ing that high or higher?
  19. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

Dave has single adjustable fronts. Dick, Chris, and I did doubles. I had my front compression up but not sure how that looks versus the low speed compression curve on the singles so maybe a wash. Only typing this in case someone reads this later and wonders.
  20. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

Lee @ Koni showed me Dave's broken front and warned me what could happen to mine long term due to the application. He made it sound like Dave had gotten replacements done. When I talked to Dave in grid he sounded like he had them on there, but we talked about strut camber bolts and rear tires...
