Thanks. I'm leaning towards a Viper, but I'm not quite sure yet :)
Highly agree with the keeping records part. I'm glad I kept all my paperwork and service records in a folder together. I would have had to do a lot of calling and visiting Ford dealerships if I didn't keep those.
Total about 11-12 weeks in the first year of owning it.
For the lemon stuff, I just submitted all my paperwork/info to a local lemon law lawyer and they took care of everything.
UPDATE (probably the last one ever): I spoke with a lemon law lawyer and she fought my case. Ford has agreed to buy the car back. It's sad, because I had a great time driving it, but the damn thing was in the shop way too much. It sounds like I have about a month to 6 weeks left with the car...
They didn't actually receive the engine from Ford until like 5 days ago. Most of the time it was just sitting there.
Oh man, that's a huge bummer. I wonder if there's a different flywheel on your car than mine.
UPDATE: Finally got my car back. They (surprisingly) reinstalled my FP oil separators and FP air filter on the new engine. I didn't expect that. Now they're suggesting I drive it really easily for 5k miles...
I didn't get an ETA. The service manager said he'd just keep me updated. When I first dropped it off he said it could take 3-4 weeks, but I doubt it'll be that quick. We shall see.
Got it. They're supposed to call me Monday...
Arg, I hate this situation. I'll talk to some lawyer friends first to see how much it should cost in fees.
I bought it in April 2017. I'm not too familiar with lemon law. Do they just buy it back from you for exactly what you bought it for?
Sweet, I'll give that a shot. Do you think I should deal with Ford directly, or with the dealership my car is at?
They're actually not too bad to work with...

Yeah. It doesn't hurt to ask for something I guess. I was thinking about asking for a heavily discounted extended warranty.
Ford just called and confirmed I need a new engine...:headbonk:
Considering I won't have my car for a month now, can I get any kind of break on this? Keep the old engine? Get a month payment refunded? Anything?
