I actually have Tony's full silicone pipe kit with the TS BOV, I was going to leave the factory intake and IC pipes due to ca emissions, so that when smog test comes along I would not have to bother changing out pipes, but I'm wondering now if I should change them to see if silicone pipes grab...
Tried the soap spray and did not see anything bubbling, but on other hand this dish soap does not foam well, need to go out and get some other soap to see if I get better bubbles.
I talked to Tony, and he mentioned the waste gate actuator, told him I was using turbo smart, he mentioned he had...
I've been having a hell of a time with a boost leak after installing stage 2 Vargas turbo, I'm only reaching 19psi after doing some test runs in 3rd gear, I'm having Adam tune it, I have tried taking off all IC tubes, and checking for possible leak areas in tubing, everything looks good, tighten...
I wonder how I will do during smog, I have the Vargas stage 2 turbo, upr catch cans, stock exhaust minus mufflers, Adam tune, and Vargas silicone intake, and IC pipes, I'm in Cali as well .
besides tune, will I need to swap turbo, catch cans, and intake ?
Turbo with detail 3rd one looks awesome, but not too sure about flower looking blades, to be honest, should have two versions, leafed and unleafed, just don't like the leaf at all.
Even if the car ran on banana leaves, no leaves for me lol
Yeah it's a dog right now, and the boost is one thing I did not keep an eye on, unfortunately I'm in middle of getting V2 turbo installed, and tuned so I won't really know what dealer did to boost, but I'm sure with what I saw they tamed everything on the car, when it was tuned the car felt like...
So did three pulls with car today, this is what I got 8.8, 8.4, and 7.8 was best time, so I have to thank ford for a restrictive reprogram, first and second has a power loss reaching mid rpms, then it seems to open up a little, well I'm going to wait to get new V2 turbo and pipes installed...
Asked my tuner about this, he said there is no way he can look into dealer tune, but does not mean we can't find someone who has a stock car without dealer reprogram due to chk eng light, and compare 0-60 times, and possibly dyno runs, stock non reprogram, vs stock no reprogram, pia, but would...
Not a bad idea, will run some this Sunday see what I get, yesterday on way back from dealer, a guy in a big new four door Honda pulled up wanting to race, and blew me away, as my car suffocated mid rpms in first gear, couldn't believe it, thank god for custom tunes.
Yup I really think Fords trying to cover themselves from possible engine blow outs, I guess it's expensive to pull engines to replace weak piston parts, so the solution is to reprogram with less aggressive tune, I'm going to tune mine anyway, but I'm saving up for a properly built motor.
I have owned the car since March 2015, built in February, light came on at 500 mile mark going up a hill, stayed on till I got car tuned, the tune disabled the check engine light till car had about 4848 miles this month, light came back on after a rough idle, the idle calmed as car reached...
