Walmart has it. The specification was changed because direct injected cars get cruddy intake valve stems unless the oil has detergents to keep them clean. It’s an issue with the EcoBoost engines but not the Coyote because it has direct injection and port injection at each cylinder. The port...
Went to WallyWorld to look at oil. Other than Motorcraft, it is difficult to find an oil that carries the latest Ford specification for direct injected cars (WSS-M2C945-B1). Then I discovered that the Mobil 1 Annual Protection 5W-20 does, so I bought two five quart jugs and went home...
Look up Ford Racing FL820 and you will see that it’s a more robust filter than a Motorcraft FL500S or Motorcraft FL820S, but again IMO not really necessary. It just depends on whether you are racing or just want to buy the best Ford offers.
It contains 50% more filtering media and the can has a higher burst rate (which doesn't matter to me). It's probably not necessary since I will change the oil yearly anyway, so the stock filter would be adequate. But because I really like my car I will buy it.
Had to park mine for the winter with 850 miles on the clock. It's down about 1/2 quart of oil. I kept it to 4,500 rpm for the first 500+, then hit 5,000-6,000 a few times since. I have not yet pushed it to the redline. I plan to change the filter to a Ford Performance FL820s in April, and top...
Hi Bob,
Since your horn is no better, my assumption is that the dual horn setup was not installed, or the jumper wire from the first horn was not plugged into the second horn, or they installed two "hi" note horns or two "low" note horns instead of a "hi"/"low" pair. As stated in earlier...
I was just looking at this on their website. It said their IRS subframe braces do not fit 2018 and newer Mustangs. If so, I wonder what changed from the earlier S550 models. Maybe it's a website issue.
I've been looking at oils for some time, and am considering their SFE SAE 5W-20, which is a fully synthetic PAO based oil, and MT-2 for the tranny and MT-1 for the diff. I believe all these oils meet the latest Ford specification.
I have not heard the non B&O Play system in the S550 Mustang. If it's anything like the old Shaker 500, it sounds ok, but lacks base because it doesn't incorporate a sub in the system.
Those speakers also left something to be desired, but that's just my opinion. Two different head units were...
I spent an easy $1500 on my GTCS to make it sound about as good. IMO Harmon Kardon can build nicer sounding systems in cars (had one or two) but this one is pretty good. Has a CD player if that's important to you.
