Thanks again to Shipey for doing the investigation and sharing the dual horn p/n :-)
Was happy to help. Just did the same for my 2019 Edge ST that came with just one horn!
I recently got a 2019 Edge ST that has FordPass. I had some issues at setup, so I called technical support for help. After it was working, I asked the tech to help me setup the Bullitt. She first asked me for the serial number. I was then told that my car was not built with the internal modem...
Iām expecting that Ford used different bushings in the IRS on the GT500 than GT PP1, Bullitt and maybe even GT350. Swapping out to those components may eliminate wheel hop without any increase in NVH, and help you keep factory engineered parts on your car.
My 2012 GTCS tranny was reliable but always notchy... even with fresh fluid. I nearly did not buy a Bullitt, but after reading about all the improvements I decided to try the MT82 (D4) one more time. IMO the MT82 D4 gear spacing is much more relaxed than the previous generation. I think the...
And...a ā68 Mustang GT with a 390 wheel hops like a mutha and those old Traction Lok (joke) posi rears never hook. Your Bullitt will kill one on the strip and through the twisties. Drive and enjoy it.
The 6 speed used in the GT500 is not the same unit as used in the GT350, which is a TR-3160 with one overdrive gear, and not two as is the 6060. The 3160 uses ratios similar to the original MT-82 which was used in 2011-2017 Mustangs and is a close ratio unit. Starting with the 2018 Mustang GT...
Wheel hop under heavy acceleration is a known issue with the S550. Note the number of vendors offering improved vertical links, bushings and braces to stop the hop. A huge amount of et will be lost without traction. Also, without careful parts selection, youāll get unwanted NVH. As far as...
At first I was not impressed with the B&O in my 2019 Bullitt. Now that the system has some hours on it the sound is much better. Iām guessing that the speakers needed break-in time.
In my opinion the serial number will reset with the letter āKā transitioning to an āLā. I am guessing that 2019 build-out will occur in June, model change over in July, and 2020 production starting in August.
Congrats, Bruce. You should try to make Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA at the end of this month. It's an awesome event, and you'd likely meet other Bullitt owners from this forum.
