  1. 10 Speed Automatic Transmission for 2016

I am a retired Ford Transmission Engineer that worked on the 6R Program. The current Ford 6-speed trans is a ZF clone. Ford and ZF had a joint venture at the time the 6R was introduced mainly because Ford wanted to license the ZF design so they could get a 6 speed to market quicker, rather than...
  2. 2015 Mustang EPA DATA!!!! for most models.... UPDATE 2 ALL MODELS

My wife opted for a 2014 Camaro V6 Auto over the Mustang basically because the Camaro rode better (IRS). She has 8000 miles on the car and has averaged 25.7 mpg in mostly city driving. (on regular fuel too!)
  3. 2015 Mustang EPA DATA!!!! for most models.... UPDATE 2 ALL MODELS

Ford doesn't care about the V6 anyway. You can't get any good options for the V6. They don't want to sell V6's. They are pushing people towards the ecoboost.
  4. 2015 Mustang Horsepower / Torque Figures and Weight Released!

Disappointing that the V-6 looses 5 HP. I think it was intentional by Ford to make the 2.3L more attractive for the premium price.
  5. 2015 Mustang Full Dealer Product Guide!

Mileage over 150,000 Extreme conditions would include excessive mileage of course, also high speed driving, conversely a lot of stop and go driving too. Excessive heat obviously affects the oil too, I live in AZ where we are frequently over 100. It's much the same as your motor oil, extreme...
  6. 2015 Mustang Full Dealer Product Guide!

Sirius radio appears only to be available on the premium packages. It's not even an option on the other variants. Really? Even a base Camaro has satellite radio. Come on Ford, get with the program!
  7. 2015 Mustang Full Dealer Product Guide!

Don't worry about the trans fluid I'm a retired Ford Transmission Engineer. The current 6-sp auto (6R) was developed many years ago in conjunction with ZF industries in Germany. Fill for life means just that, never touching the trans oil. Only under extreme conditions and excessive mileage...
  8. 2015 Mustang Pricing Revealed! $24,425 (V6), $25,995 (Ecoboost), $32,925 (GT)

Both Ford and GM have traditionally not offered employee pricing on hot new models. I get discounts from both, but I have been waiting for GM to open up employee pricing on the new Vette, but I will probably have to wait another year. There are still 2014 Shelby's available here in the Phoenix...
  9. 2015 Mustang Pricing Revealed! $24,425 (V6), $25,995 (Ecoboost), $32,925 (GT)

V6 Horsepower dropped 5 HP Ford actually dropped 5 HP on the V6 for 2015. I'm sure this was done to keep it below the 2.3L Ecoboost (305 HP) so they could sell the EB at a premium price over the standard V6. The Ford V6 was already below the base Camaro V6 (323 HP). It's too bad that they had...
  10. 2015 Ford Mustang Order Guide (U.S. and Canada)

No V6 Premium? I didn't see a V6 Premium package. Did I miss it? Also, the 2014 Mustang had a FP6 option on the base Mustang that had black painted wheels, spoiler, louvers, etc. A similar package was also available on the GT. A real nice package for around $1000. I was about ready to buy one...
