I have the Redline struts installed, and they have helped for sure. I think (I hope) with the addition of the weather strips it will almost eliminate the issue. I will be testing it at the track (top speed at a one half mile straightway is about 140mph) in Oct. I'll post my feedback then.
I just did the same hehe. Only thing different, I aligned it to cover the holes and make sure it covers the end of the hood. I will provide more feedback after the Oct track day.
Exactly the 2 parts I ordered :) I had to chat with Ford parts directly to get the part#s, should have them end of next week. And no worries, I'm not blaming you if they don't fit :beer:. I need to stop the hood lifting, and $50 is worth the risk.
@Niz55 thanks for the pics.
I can let you know if it works, I ordered the rubber pieces and I'm taking the car to the track in October. As everyone else, my hood lifts every time at 125+mph, which extra sucks especially when on the track. If this doesn't work, I might need to go with hood...
Great detail video. Thanks for sharing! Next one I'll be doing the air flow cut :) Some good tips in the videos. Hope the current splitter lasts me for a year.
Let me know if the below 2 pics help. In the 3rd pic you can see the driver's side APR bolt underneath, yikes looks like a pancake, almost nothing left. Trying to see how to remove it. Got new screws and bolts from home depot.
Great data points! Unfortunately I only did NJMP Lighting a year ago before the new setup and I don't have comparative data. But I'm doing NJMP Thunderbolt (2.25 miles long, 12 turns, and one half mile straightway) in September, which I have data before the APR setup. I'll share before and...
NJMP Lighting over the week. 1.9m length with 10 turns. 98* HOT weather. Hard managing the SC2s but overall a great time and exchanging spots with fellow GT350 member @petstang. DSUNO pads are holding great. Need new tires thought :(
Hope you were able to fix the car. Any positive progress?
I run the APR rear wing at 5* and changed to 7* the last session with positive results. NJMP Lighting is 1.9m long with 10 turns. The long straight top speed is high 130s low 140s so a bit more downforce helped the balance! Very happy...
Yeah with Petstang! Lighting NJMP here we go. Watching YouTube videos hehe.
I also got Ferodo DSUNO on front. G-LOC R12 on rear. So far I like the DSUNO the best. I had G-Loc R18 in the front but were done after 2.5 track days! :thumbsdown:
