Got my car back today. The dealership replaced both strut mounts and bearings. So far so good.

I have a little play that is felt in the steering wheel, but it’s not enough for the typical non-caring techs to notice. I also have clunking sounds on slow sharp turns. Your situation sounds worse, have you checked your tie rods and control arm bushings for play/damage?

‘98 Corvette, I didn’t care for the convertible top but the driving experience was great. At the time it really made anything else feel lazy and dull.

…and there lies my problem, I’m not fond of the power delivery in my car and I don’t like the alternative vehicles. Gears and a supercharger down the road will change that for me.

That would be 100% correct, if I drove in that manner. Going WOT 1-2-3-4, shifting at around 7200+ RPM is underwhelming to me. Some may be content but I definitely expected more. A shorter rear gear ratio should help me in that aspect. The S550 chassis and suspension does a great job of hiding...

The tall gears diminishes the excitement of acceleration for me. It makes it feel like the engine is laboring it’s way through the rev range. I value enthusiastic acceleration and engine response. Once you get into the upper rev range the car does move, I’m impatient though and want it all lolz...

The advantages of the 10R80 cannot be ignored. However, no car enthusiast hops in a vehicle and gets excited seeing PRNDL/PRNDS. If the same advancement efforts that went into the 10R80 also went into the MT82, we would have an exceptional manual transmission. Is the 10R80 superior to the MT82...

IMO the MT82D4 gearing is great…for engines that produce low end torque, which we don’t have 🤣

I would start by checking the alignment of all the pullies. Also verify belt routing and if the belt is contacting anything it shouldn’t.

It could be the handle, but there are many other things that could cause that to happen (loose connectors, damaged wiring harnesses, faulty modules, etc.) It would be helpful to have some diagnostic testing done first.

It seems like a rattle/buzz sound. Based on the location, I suspect that it’s a faulty/unbalanced driveshaft. Good luck getting your dealership to repair it. Try to get a road test with the manager or shop foreman. That way they can’t claim they were unable to duplicate the concern.
