  1. Telegraph (UK) Review: GT & Ecoboost

I agree. I've just read the review again and think it's well written and actually pretty complimentary. Most US reviews are like Ford promotional write ups. There's virtually nothing negative said, as if it's the perfect car. Many people on this forum will lap that up, but therefore feel a...
  2. Telegraph (UK) Review: GT & Ecoboost

They're comparisons for the EB as well. For the UK there's probably not a lot else they can be compared to. There's not much in the way of performance coupes over here. Anyway, the M235i might be quicker at anything other than a drag race.
  3. Autocar UK Review (GT and EcoBoost)

It's a typical first drive review. It gives an idea of what it's like without going into too much detail because they know it's not a UK car.
  4. Telegraph (UK) Review: GT & Ecoboost

Don't get upset because the review doesn't pander to Ford. His reviews tend to be pretty good. What bit of it is snotty or snobbish?
  5. What Car? review (GT and EcoBoost)

I keep seeing those figures for the UK spec car, but I don't know where they come from.
  6. Autoexpress UK Review (EcoBoost)

The mentions of interior quality are a bit worrying. There's obviously still a bit of a gulf in expectations.
  7. Is it too early to wish for the 3.5EB?

I know Dutch emissions taxes are crazy, but I thought the EB would work out at more like 15000 euro tax on registration.
  8. Is it too early to wish for the 3.5EB?

I think the EB will tune well. Quite looking forward to seeing what's possible. I would think exhaust, intake and tune will give 350 or 360 at the crank. I realise some VAG engines are very tunable. An S3 can run the best part of 360bhp from just a remap, but I wouldn't worry about that.
  9. Winding Road TV POV Driving Videos (GT & EcoBoost)

Whatever they've done to the EB sound as it enters the cabin, it's worked. It does sound good under load, especially accelerating through the lower gears. There's nothing quite like a V8, but they did sound similar at times.
  10. EcoBoost or EcoBust?

Might be interesting to see what sound is pumped through the speakers when an aftermarket intake is installed.
  11. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

I'm all for DRL's. Living in foggy England, there's always plenty of people who don't bother switching any lights on in poor visibility. With mandatory DRL's, they can be seen from the front at least.
  12. Fuse 27 - EB Fake noise

I still think the EB will do well outside of the U.S., even if it struggles there. 2.3 litres is not exactly small in the UK, and 4 cylinders not too few with many cars now having 3. Small capacity and turbo charging is well accepted. For me though, I kind of want the full, 'proper' Mustang...
  13. Fuse 27 - EB Fake noise

There could be an on/off option certainly. There could even be a volume control for it. All that would make it seem more fabricated though.
  14. Euro-Spec 2015 Mustang Spotted (Again)

I've grown to really like the euro spec mustang tail lights. At first I wantned to change them, but I think they look smart now.
  15. PistonHeads Review (EcoBoost)

The British reviews are positive, so that's, err, positive. Price is good, but autumn 2015 is a long wait.
  16. European Prices, models & packages

The pound to dollar exchange rate is good at the moment. Maybe that has something to do with it.
  17. European Prices, models & packages

Yeah, that almost sounds too good to be true. Fingers crossed though.
  18. Ecoboost reving

Yeah, the sound of the EB is kind of important to the rest of the world. Or maybe what can be done with the sound also. A thread is worthwhile.
  19. MotorTrend Review (EcoBoost)

Isn't that yellow one a V8 though? Bonnet vents...
  20. 5.0 Mileage

Well I suppose if they did nothing with the engine it would have gone down more (with the increased weight) and had no more power. It's based on quite old tech, maybe that's all it can do.
