  1. Z26 or Z23 powerstop pads

I agree. My only regret with the Z26 was waiting 2 years before installing them! I just wish they made them for my Porsche. I hate brake dust!
  2. ANY new licence plate ideas for the GT350

    I just ordered this.
  3. A Tale of Two Shelby's

It was 90* outside, that's what happened! lol
  4. A Tale of Two Shelby's

LOL. He said that before he started filming!
  5. A Tale of Two Shelby's

Thanks! Yea, he's a wiz with this stuff. He used Premier Pro for editing. He used a Nikon D330 on a slide and mostly shots by hand that he thought up in his head. He's heading off to college to major in film. He's got real talent.
  6. A Tale of Two Shelby's

Check out the cool vid my son made today just for fun.
  7. Z26 or Z23 powerstop pads

Good. Yea, as I said, mine got better with time as well. (always quiet, but braking got better, including the initial bite).
  8. Z26 or Z23 powerstop pads

I'm so happy with my Z26. The dust reduction is so worth it. The initial bite of breaking power is less than with OEM, but that actually improved with time so maybe I didn't get them hot enough when I bed them in.
  9. What's The Difference??

Based on my conversation with Ford, if you're on the track, just use the Sport or Track mode and don't mess with the toggle switch. In other words, tap the traction control switch for burnouts as you are doing now and don't long-hold the switch. The nannies are programmed not to interfere unless...
  10. What's The Difference??

As described earlier, a quick tap of the button turns traction control off (Burnout time). A long hold of 5-10 seconds of the button also turns off stability control (YouTube crash time). When I first got my GT350, I was not satisfied with the manual's explanations of the differences between...
  11. QuickJack 5000 SLX - Set up and first use with the GT350

I believe the rails are ever so slightly lower to the ground than the pinch welds. It's just a non issue.
  12. QuickJack 5000 SLX - Set up and first use with the GT350

Jacking rails was an extremely easy installation. My car is not daily driven so obviously no rust. They make it MUCH easier to jack, both floor jacks and QuickJacks. You don't spend NEARLY as much time lining up contact points.
  13. What max RPM are you all you track guys shifting at???

I plotted my Cobra (2,200lb car) with 347 CID (stroker 302), T5 Levy Racing tranny. Remember, these are chassis dyno numbers, not crank HP/Torque numbers.
  14. What max RPM are you all you track guys shifting at???

Got it. Yes, the torque curve on the big Pontiacs falls off a cliff at around 5000 RPM.
  15. What max RPM are you all you track guys shifting at???

Or a very flat torque curve. My old Pontiac made close to 600 ft lbs, and most of it from about 1800 RPMs. Then the top end falls fast after 5000. In fact, Pontiac drag racers often tested at the strip and found quarter mile times and MPH do not change when shifting at 5,000 vs 5,500 (and fall...
  16. What max RPM are you all you track guys shifting at???

That video is great and I was about to post it also before I saw your post. Now I have something to share which will go hand-in-hand with that. Someone plotted the torque values by gear and RPM. I was trying to figure out if our particular cars will do better shifting at redline. (And again...
  17. QuickJack 5000 SLX - Set up and first use with the GT350

Jack rails make using the quick jack easier. No worrying about the pinch welds.
  18. What are the front fenders made from?

Magnet isn't going to distinguish between aluminum and composite.
  19. What are the front fenders made from?

I searched around and cannot find out what material the front fenders are made from on the GT350. I know the hood is aluminum, but I thought the fenders were a plastic composite. Is that true? TIA,
