Overall a great evolution to the next Mustang. Like the wider hips and the tail lights are a great modern interpretation of the 66.
As with all new Mustangs some people will not like them while others love the new style. There were people that thought the world was coming to an end when the...
NFS side body lines are close to the Chazcron renderings and the rear pony treatment on the valance a nod to the 2015 as well? Also the GT 350 is VERY prominent in the LA show display. Coincidence? I think not.
I said compete not be the same/look the same. The renders shown here are a great evolution for the Mustang. The retro look appeals to a certain demographic. You are competing for sales you have to look at the market conditions. BMW would be a competitor for those Euros. The bells and whistles...
But you miss the point. In order to stay competitive it must NOT be an exception to the norm. It must be a car that appeals to a wide range of people not just those that like American muscle cars or the older demographic. Hence the likelihood of the Ecoboost 4 in Europe if not here at some...
The reason it is being compared is the Mustang is becoming a world car. In the Euro market it is in competition with the BMWs and VWs. The BMW 1 series sells for potentially the same range as a Mustang GT will. Without at least some of the tech that is offered the Mustang will be behind and not...
It could be argued that by the photos being released early resulted in Ford having to alter plans to compensate thereby costing Ford money. Doesn't really matter because you sign the paper willingly. You violate the agreement that you made with Ford you are subject to their lawyers wrath. Given...
At least the one's i have signed carry a minimum penalty of $250,000. Which means Ford can and in this case will sue the offending party and the minimum damages will be 250K. But since this is the 2015 Mustang I would expect that minimum to be much higher. Pretty much a slam dunk case and they...
From the still posted it is obvious they have some sort of translucent lens to hide the tail lights as a part of the camo. Even with that, you can see the break in the color. The tail light configuration has been out there for at least a year. Tri tail lens that are slotted.
Press people like to get the scoop and want credit (read payment) for that scoop. Since there is a finite number of people being invited, it would not be difficult for Ford to track them down. Additionally, I would suspect Ford I would have a bevy of cameras recording the event. If anyone even...
Well that answered that...
Which leads to the question... Is it worth it to a journalist to risk the wrath of Ford by revealing photos from a cell phone? As many of us that have been involved in Ford focus groups and special previews know, you have to sign a confidentiality agreement which...
Ford announced that 2014 was the last year for the GT 500. Speculation is they are done with the Shelby name at this point since they have to pay Shelby for the naming rights, why not go a name you own. Cobra would be the natural go to.
Given that both vintages did not do as well s projected for various reasons, I would say no. Both sold roughly 1000 less than the 6500 and the 7700 runs that Ford capped them at. 01s were introduced late and the production cut off did not allow the total to be produced. The 08/09 was released in...
IMO this is the real thing. Having talked with Ford reps, they have told me stories about how relentless these photographers are. Almost to the point of paparazzi type actions. Like having a chase car in front any behind and boxing them in while taking photos.
Real world testing is what it...
