  1. GT350 Engine Refresh Time!

E85 will be better than 100 for power. It’s actually 104 octane and burns cooler. Speaking with tuners and the E85 will make more. I have 93, 100 and E85 from Lund. Running ARH too.
  2. Found an interesting GT350 Track Car build on one of the GT forums

Spartan is the real deal. He is on TMO with a very detailed thread. Very nice builds
  3. Frank Talk About Headers Requested

I have the ARH headers on mine and fitment on mine wasn’t an issue. I am not sure what the last poster was dealing with but I didn’t experience it. These are definitely 5.2 specific as well. Thicker gauge steel to better deal with the 5.2 and its flat plane. The flanges May be the same as the...
  4. Who is running e85 from Lund?

No. The flex tune is designed to handle all variations of ethanol, straight 93 to pure E85 and any blend between. It’s only an issue if you run the straight E85R tune where they are expecting at least a 79-80 percent and you are running say 60. Your octane rating of E85 is 104 but that’s with a...
  5. Who is running e85 from Lund?

Your best to take a sample and text it to compare. Others have reported similar variation. Calculated percentage is not accurate.
  6. Who is running e85 from Lund?

The calculated value is 91 for mine while the actual value is 80-81. It’s off by 10-11
  7. Who is running e85 from Lund?

I have only ran the innovate branded sensor, not the zeltronix one. The output from the innovate does match up to actual fuel tested with a test tube as well.
  8. Who is running e85 from Lund?

What are the benefits with even running say an E50? I get low E70s here in Michigan in say February. Later on in the season I’m getting E79-81 range pretty consistently. I use the flex tune just for transition from 93 or to 93. If I’m getting a good E78 or better I’m running the straight E85R...
  9. Who is running e85 from Lund?

I run an innovate motorsports ethanol sensor and their gauge. I use their gauge as strictly a controller that is mounted under the dash. I send it’s output analog 0-5v signal to the input signal point on the ngauge. Ngauge has a preset for a zetronix ethanol sensor. I use that setting for the...
  10. Who is running e85 from Lund?

The stock tune doesn’t handle it since ford didn’t include flexlogic by default. Lund uses the flexlogic from the F150 and incorporates it into the mustangs.
  11. Who is running e85 from Lund?

I’ve been Lund tuned for E85 since March of this year. Thousands of miles later and multiple track days without issue. Rock solid tunes. No issues at all. I run the flex tune for transition out of 93 octane and into E85 when I have a blend. Once I’m clear of the 93 I switch over to the E85R tune...
  12. Tranny Fluid Anomaly

No problem. I emailed op mustang last night too and got back a good response. Here it is. Good Morning Kevin, Tremec used to qualify the transmissions on a Manual Transmission oil (GM Syncromesh). Since they have become an OEM supplier they qualify all the transmissions on ATF for cost and...
  13. Tranny Fluid Anomaly

The opmustang link was for their transmission oil kit which they were using BG products gear oil in our transmissions which are supposed to use ATF.
  14. Tranny Fluid Anomaly

Interesting. Ford supplemental calls for Mercon LV auto trans fluid for the transmission. Amsoil website calls out ATF as well. What gives with the gear oil?
  15. Thoughts on 4.09 gear

You can adjust speedo calibration using Forscan. There is a long thread on using the tool. The speedo calibration is handled by the body module and not the ECU so hand held tuners can’t tweak for gear changes anymore. I recalibrated mine after switching to GT350R spec tire sizes. My speedo was...
  16. MICHELIN PSC2 vs HANKOOK RS-3 Quick Thoughts

Better comparison would be Hankook RS-4, not the RS-3 I believe.
  17. I Joined The Club: C7 Z06 to a Shelby GT350

Nice stable of cars. A GT3 would be a nice track toy. The GT350 is no slouch on the track either. Very fun
  18. GT350 FORScan Tweaks

I did this awhile ago when I was testing a forscan build that cleared the DTC code. They were having trouble clearing the code on our cars. The build I had worked to clear the code and I believe that’s what everyone is using now. It was last year when I did it.
  19. Oil Usage and 103 Octane Questions

Power gain should be the same as you would have running E85, just better fuel economy. Power gains would be from increased timing advance is all. Both E85 and the 103 would allow the max timing advance available in the ECU. All depends on your tuner calibrating a tune for that.
  20. GT350 FORScan Tweaks

I went from a 305/35R19 to the 305/30R19 and the speedo was almost 4MPH off at 80. It bothered me enough so I recalibrated mine awhile ago with forscan.
