Every time you comment on pedal free play I go out to my car and pull up on the clutch pedal, lol. I guess I lucked out by not having any slop. That’s alright, Ford more than made up for that by cursing me with the paint bubbling up on my hood.

Is there more to the “steeda noise” (hype) than; if you remove the OEM spring and don’t replace it with theirs, your clutch and the world will come to a sudden end?

Those saying that pulling the clutch assist spring will cause damage have zero credible evidence to support their claims.

Just my opinion; stock intercooler is a cheap, plasticey joke and probably weighs less than 10 pounds. CPE stage 1 is easily twice that at ~20 pounds, not sure about stage 2. Exactly. Ford engineers misguided attempt to lighten the clutch pedal for the masses came with nasty side effects. Then you get internet mechanics building off of that disastrous foundation...good luck. Fortunately it only takes a couple minutes to “un-sponge” the pedal forever.

I paid $7,000, included motor, turbo, intake and labor. Came with 3 year warranty(NOT from Ford).

43,000 no spring miles on mine. Still chirps the tires in third gear. Premature clutch wear because you remove this goofy spring is just not true.

I’m joining the club, bubbling on hood edge (passenger side, near headlight). 2015, 40,000 miles, 3.5 years old. I will be contacting Ford to see what, if anything, they will do. zackmd1, how are you making out mate?
