    They are getting confused with the wording on the service procedure that says if in time skip to step 7 which includes the cylinder head if that makes sence

    Good question I did ask him about that and no leak down test was performed they are just going off of how the wording is on the bulletin. He said if he doesn’t fix it exactly like Ford says then something more happens down the road Ford will come back at them for compensation

    Update : Just heard from my Ford service manager that his higher up Ford representative thinks my cylinder heads and pistons are to be replaced also per the bulletin But their not positive so they are checking one person higher in the Ford chain of command.

    No leak down test performed I was thinking that is only done if the motor is out of time. Plz correct me someone if I’m wrong on that.

    Update : Ok fans I’m going to shake things up here I’m sure so buckle up. My motor was opened up today and I spoke to the mechanic while we were at my car. Both the right hand and left side tensioners were NOT activated and both guides were chewed up a bit. The motor was in time thank goodness...

    Plz let us a know exactly what was replaced when you have time. Does anyone know exactly what has to be dismantled for the repair i.e. oil pan belly pan radiator etc.

    Yep that’s correct my mechanic noticed mine when I took it in - I’m fortunate he’s a Mustang guy and has a 18 GT makes me feel a little better about my impending repair

    Just another side note everyone make sure your 4 screws that go in at a 45 degree angle into your middle splitter section are installed - mine were not. And yes waiting on those parts also.

    Update for mine : I took the car to the dealership on the 5th of May and mine failed the inspection . I received notice today that they are opening the motor Thursday to inspect further and no parts can be ordered until the dealership submits a claim to Ford with their findings. More delays

    I totally agree with these concerns, while I’m very disappointed my motor has to be opened up after only 1,900 miles at least I will have peace of mind that all chains guides and tensioners will be good to go.
