  1. NEW SYNC 3.0 Build 20204 Nav Android Auto/Apple Carplay

Any mustang owners have version 3 show up on their owners.ford.com website yet?
  2. Who invented Stripes (why my Shelby's will always wear them)

I love stripes. My favorite color combination is white with blue strips because it is just classic. Yet I own a 2017 avalanche grey with black roof and NO strips. Why? Because stripes make the car look like it is going faster. The limit of my cars speed is not the car itself, but rather how...
  3. Guilty by Association

I vow to always fight every ticket at this point. It is my belief that exceeding speed limits and accidents are not correlated. Damage from an accident and speed are correlated. What is correlated with accidents is distracted driving. Cops should only issue tickets based upon distracted stupid...
  4. Best GT350 review yet?

I will be using this line.... The Shelby GT350 gives me a "Cargasm"!
  5. Oil Consumption vs. Catch Can Oil

Thanks for the replies. I guess then oil in my catch can is a good thing. If the car does consumes some oil, it is better that the oil be from crankcase ventilation re-circulation, than from piston ring or valve guide seepage.
  6. Oil Consumption vs. Catch Can Oil

With about 10k on the odometer, my best estimation is that my car "uses" about 1 qt every 3,000 miles. About 1,000 miles ago I installed a JLT catch can. I drained it the other day and to my surprise there was about 3 oz of oil, about half full. I do understand the concept of a car burning...
  7. Gear Change from: 3.73 (Rear Gear) to: 4.11 in my GT350

Great job, I bet the car feels a lot better in 6th on the fwy. My biggest and really only complaint about the car is not the the final drive gearing, but the 5-6th gear gap. The car's overall gearing is pretty much perfect in the sense that 5th peaks at about top speed at redline. This is good...
  8. GT350 or Whippled GTPP?

You actually just proved most peoples point, that if purchased new, a GT PP and then modding is not a good value. My guess is that your car new with mods would cost upwards of 50k and then within 2 years it was sold to you for an almost 20k loss. This was a bad investment for the original owner...
  9. GT350 or Whippled GTPP?

I get that.... but strip out all of the conveniences, interior, aircon, seats etc and make some pretty simple track mods and it is. It is a lot closer to a race car than your stock rental car. The point was that many buyers have never experienced this level of performance and may change their...
  10. GT350 or Whippled GTPP?

Currently there are 243 GT350's on Cars.com. There have been about 10,000 produced in about 3 years. So 10,000 cars have sold over 36 months which translates to 278 sales per month. Just approx figures. So there is less than one months supply of cars on the market. This is far from a glut of...
  11. GT350 or Whippled GTPP?

The GT350 is a race car pure and simple, it is not a car for the average person. Yet with such amazing reviews there will be a lot of people that end up buying the car and then realize it is not a good match. It is very understandable that many buyers come to the conclusion that the GT350 is not...
  12. GT350 or Whippled GTPP?

I love modding cars but hate having to finally sell a modded car and live with the fact that I may have thrown away $20k of mods. Being 55 yrs old, there wasn't a car that didn't need to be modded when I was growing up. Whether it was a car or motorcycle every 1980's vehicle needed a litany of...
  13. Pet Peeves When Out and About in the GT350

After 10K of mostly long highway trip miles where there is a lot of 6 gear cruising and over taking, I wish 6 gear wasn’t as tall. 5th gear goes to around 169-170. 6th is geared towards almost 270mph. While most gear shifts drop revs 20%. 5-6 gear change drops revs almost 40%. Imo this is just...
  14. Need some ideas and help from the board...

How about putting on those stick on letters, spelling your last name with an initial for the first name, like in the Ford performance racing school. If it could be subtle and tasteful that would be cool. Maybe have it say "Driver: F. Lastname" down low on the back side window in 2 inch high...
  15. The Down and Dirty ADM Thread

It was incredibly easy. Once I decided what colors I was interested in, I called dealers across the country. I only had to call one dealer with exactly the color I wanted. They accepted msrp, took a 1k credit car payment to secure, ran my credit. I flew up to oregon and drove the car home. The...
  16. The Down and Dirty ADM Thread

Just stopped by dealer to get an air filter and noticed their one Shelby on the floor, non-R with a whopping $27,500 ADM. More SoCal lunacy courtesy of Worthington ford of Long Beach. It is obvious to me that they do not want to sell this car, strictly eye candy to move other cars. They...
  17. I Gave Up

I completely understand, as I live in long beach and probably frequented the same dealers. I tried for about 4 months locally. The best I was able to do was an adm of 6k. A search on cars.com revealed one in oregon in the color combo I wanted. The process was easier than I thought. I can see one...

Oops..... Didn't see it in the forum, just stumbled across on youtube. Delete thread if necessary
