So back to putting another models radio unit in the mustang, perhaps it is possible, reading the thread of adding the MFT to a base model, which has Sirius and NaV.
There is apparently a wire harness repair kit, because the sync pins are different or something of the fact.

yes true, as a old ford owner i have experienced that just because the connectors are the same doesn't mean ford used the same pinout model to model or year to year.
Perhaps ford did something different with the 15's maybe we should try getting a newer model head unit from a 14 or 15, i know...

You should be able to put the antenna on the back window without issue, I had it there for a while. Just get the hook part of Velcro to make it stay in place. As for the USB malfunction thing, hmm, thats not good to hear. I honestly wouldn't bother with a factory antenna. I wonder why...
If anyone doesn't want their speakers from the stock premium or shaker systems after upgrade let me know, i might be interested in replacing my base system with them. Anyone know if its possible to add a center channel speaker when i dont have one now?
i did see a different means of getting Sirius For those perhaps not interested in tearing apart their new car, lol. It uses one of the usb ports in the car and instead of browsing for media its actually showing the sirius sat channels, kind of slick actually. its called GSR, might be a bit...
