Thank you for taking the time to clarify. I understand what you are saying now.
Weirdly I saw a 17 GT in the parking lot today and they were running 275/40/20 upfront and 315/35/20 in the rear and the tires just seemed too meaty.
I’m loving all your 20” set ups. It seems the consensus is 275(285)/35/20 up front and 305/35/20 in the rear for this 8.5/10 staggered set up. I appreciate all the help.
305/35 in the rear?
I could have phrased it better. Just want the wheels to fill the gap and concerned the 285/35 wouldn’t achieve that. The pictures you posted help, thank you.
My concern with the provided wheels from the wheel/tire combo is that they will not fill the whee well. Here are the tires they provide:
(2) 20x8.5" SVE Series 3 Wheels
(2) 20x10" SVE Series 3 Wheels
(2) 255/35/20 Nitto NT555 G2 Tires
(2) 285/35/20 Nitto NT555 G2 Tires
You think this set up...
Haha. I like the efficiency. I would send them a pre approval or let them run a credit app so they k know you are serious. My .02 cents. Best of luck though!
You don't think 8.5" in front is too small as the factory comes with 9"? I assume your car is PP right?
By the way, I am not an expert just in the same boat as you as i want to change rims also.
I have a base GT, so I have 18x8.5 up front. I’m thinking with 8.5 up front and 10 in the rear...
Well that’s reassuring because I love the car feels now under hard accleration. Stiffness I’m aware of and not too concerned with.
I’m looking at the gloss black/machined lip. Originally wanted 19s but love the look of these in 20”.
Well that’s definitely good feedback. Lol. I’ve been looking specifically for a polished lip option, staggered, within my budget. I want to pull the trigger but just concerned I’ll feel a performance, primarily acceleration, drop.
I'm currently considering purchasing these wheels for my 2018 GT.
SVE Series 3 staggered, 20X8.5 up front and 20X10 in the rear. I'm going to be running 275/35 up front and 305/30 in the rear for tires. https://lmr.com/item/SVE-46401652K1/sve-series-3-wheel-kit-black-2015

I got my base 2018 GT for 27 before tax, tag, title, and warranty. Just be sure to keep saying no whenever the salesmen comes back from the finance manager with their offer. lol. It also helped that it was December so they were motivated to clear 2018 inventory.
