Pretty good match for a non-OE vinyl.

After a 2 week work trip, got around to applying the trunk stripes. Wet install, went really well. A couple small spots that could look better, but overall pretty happy. Saved $200 over the Ford Guardsman stripes.

I’ve considered this. Did the same thing with my G80 M3 on Bimmerpost and it was a great journal to track. Correct, only worked on parts covered by the stripes. Thankfully, the holes have lots of room on either side so good enough space for filler and leveling.

Lots of progress on the AC R wing. More filling on the trunk, primer, wet sanding, couple coats of paint, more wet sending, then lots of polishing with the orbital to make a nice slick surface for the vinyl to adhere to. Will apply the stripes after a work trip next week.

They offer the longer option, I went with the OEM length to be uniform with the rest of the car. Super impressed with the company. Packaging and quality of the material is fantastic.

Negative. Like everything else, this will all be DIY. I like to party and love being in my shop trying new things. I’ve dabbled in body work and also do paint correction, PPF, and ceramic on the side. But yes, the body shop option is great, but I’m more of an 80% type of guy.

Drove my buddy’s ‘20 GT350 to work today; he’s deployed, so caring for his car. And goodness, the factory shifter sucks, lol. Guess I’m spoiled from 2 years of having an MGW on my ‘20 GT350. Consider this a PSA: you need an MGW shifter.

A good cleaning of the top hats followed with some machine polishing (Griots 1” microfiber pad w/aluminum polish). Purple Power Aluminum Brightener is some incredible stuff (on raw aluminum).
