In this case I am pretty confident the boost pressure is Apple's to Apple's. Same blowers one with a 3.00" pulley (15#s), one with a 3.33" (12#s). I ran a 3.33" on the 15 and made the exact same boost on pump 93.
Yes, not surprising. Couple of factors. The 18 tune is setup running richer and actually had 2 degrees less timing then the 15. 2 degrees on a boosted motor can be worth an easy 15+ hp and I would think the 3 additional pounds of boost running thru the Boss intake would of been huge in the...
Hello All,
I previously had a 15 auto with a Paxton 2200, Boss intake, long tubes, Fore FS, e85 pushing 15#s to make up for my elevation (5200'). I now have a 18 auto with long tubes, Fore FS, e85 tuned pushing 12#s. Interesting comparison, my 18 made about 45-50 more rwhp with 3 less pounds of...
Not allot gained from a 93 octane tune. Biggest upgrade will be if you have a base GT, then you will get the drag mode shiftness in a tune that is standard on the premium. Do a flex tune from Lund and you will see a nice bump!
In a perfect world, the most gear you can run with traction will be the fastest. The 3.73s are awesome with a centrifugal if you can put it down. with 800hp that's not going to happen. You will be quicker on the street with less gear, but would ultimately be quicker at the track with the lower...
In my opinion don't skimp on the fuel system, it may cost more in the long run. Although the Sai Li is a good option. I would expect no more then 700rwhp on corn. A good buddy of mine owns a Mustang Shop and he has done many many fuel systems including that system. He says more often then not...
Polished Vortech JT SL, 8 rib upgrade, JLT from Terry. Smoking deal. Also picked up some BMR suspension parts that were 15% off listed and then another 15% off with the eBay code.
Yeah, skip the torque booster. You have plenty of torque muliplication with the 3.73 gears. Depending on your goals, you could save a few bucks without the 8 rib setup also. Should have no slip with a 6 rib and down to a 3.33" pulley.
Most likely, your going to get the you need to search. This has been discussed many, many times, lol. My son and I both have 18s with 10speed autos. He has a PBD tune for 93 octane. I went with Lund for a Flex Fuel tune. His car is much more friendly shifting on normal driving mode. My Lund tune...
HP reads the vehicles stock tune or ROM. That tune is opened and changes are allowed to be made in the tuning software to dial the car in. If the tune pulled with HP is still labeled with the stock name, maybe that is why they are saying it has a stock tune?? Nevertheless, I believe the SCT tune...
If you plan on staying naturally aspirated and want the max performance from that. Go with a set of long tube headers, cold air induction and flex fuel tune. If you want more then that, then 3.73 gears or lower for torque multiplication or a stall converter will give max acceleration or fun. I...
