  1. Question About Upgraded Intercooler

My 2018 with the Performance Pack does not have the AGS.
  2. Rumor: S650 Mustang 4-Door Sedan Will Debut in 2022 with 3 Engine Options

That supposed ā€œ4-door Mustangā€ silhouette is not from Ford, so I don’t think we can use it as a comparison to the VW Aero1. FYI: I do think the supposed ā€œ4-door Mustangā€ silhouette looks pretty good.
  3. Annoying automotive trends

Yeah, that makes sense. I agree that it sucks that you have to use the touchscreen to change the airflow location.
  4. Annoying automotive trends

Does Android Auto disable the physical controls for the temperature adjustment? My Mustang (Ecoboost Premium) has automatic climate control and includes physical controls for temperature adjustment.
  5. How hard is it to change radiators?

I have the Performance Pack. Once it Warms up, I never see temps below 185.
  6. Widebody Builds of Mustang GT

Looks just like the 05 GT that I had. Loved that car.
  7. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

Well, the 7.3 is longer than the Coyote, so you would have more weight in front of the front axle. That will impact handling somewhat.
  8. I weighed my Mustangs

If I remember correctly, the original base model Coupe (1979 4 cylinder 4 spd manual) weighed 2780 pounds. Over the years, I believe the weight went up a little bit. I believe Ford quotes the weight with half a tank of gas. The 4 cylinder had an 11.5 gallon tank. I don’t remember what the...
  9. FP vs. SCT tune & Cervini inserts vs. GT350/500 grill swap?

The FP warranty is 3yr/36,000 miles. If you have a tune-related issue after 36,000 miles, it won’t be covered.
  10. New 6.8L V8 Engine Coming For Mustang in 2022?!

That really wasn’t a problem with the Chevy SS. They only imported a total of about 13,000 over a 4 (Maybe 5) year period.
  11. New 6.8L V8 Engine Coming For Mustang in 2022?!

It would have to be 7 liters. 6.8 is only about 415 cubes.
  12. New 6.8L V8 Engine Coming For Mustang in 2022?!

I believe it was in one of REVan Evanā€˜s YouTube videos where they weighed a 7.3 and a Coyote. The 7.3 was about 130 pounds heavier. If there is a 6.8 and it is a shortdeck version of the 7.3, it will still be probably 100 pounds heavier, unless they do an aluminum block.
  13. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

Where did you see sales numbers indicating the Mustang outsells the Explorer? Sales through June of this year: Mustang: 33,786 Explorer: 101,149 https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North%20America/US/2020/07/02/ford-2q-20sales.pdf
  14. What is it like driving '65 - '73 Mustang and how does it compare to a S550??

My oldest brother has a 66 Mustang - 289, automatic. The car is in great shape, with minor upgrades (dual exhaust, Edelbrock intake, Holley 4 barrel). I’ve driven it a handful of times. I like driving it once in a while. However, I would much rather drive my 18 Ecoboost Premium with the...
  15. The big Intercooler thread.

40 minutes total? That’s much faster than I thought it would take. I’ve been putting it off, but I really want to upgrade the IC. Daily temps in the 90’s and high humidity really impact the EcoBoost.
  16. Aftermarket Seats - rear legroom improvement?

I’m 5’ 5ā€. When the driver’s seat is adjusted for me, I can sit comfortably in the back seat behind the driver’s seat. However, I have just enough head room. My wife is shorter than I am. We have, on occasion, gone places with someone in the back seat. If there are more than two of us, we...
  17. Oh no, here comes the cylinder deactivation nonsense.

In the 3 cylinder Ecoboosts, I believe Ford would just deactivate the fuel injector. It’s system didn’t actually deactivate the valves. I thought Ford’s approach was simpler and less likely to cause problems.
  18. Pedal Bike

I routinely put my bike in the trunk. Fold down the rear seats and remove the bike’s front wheel. It should fit without any issues. Note: My bike is a road bike.
  19. GT or EB

I had 2005 Mustang GT for 13 years. It was a DD and I loved it. Replaced it with an 18 Ecoboost Premium PP. I’ve had it for 2 years and love it. I also DD it and have no interest in getting a GT. Having said that, I believe you should drive both before you make a decision. It’s your money...
