There are a few ways of getting the damper bolt torqued down. Didnt find it too necessary to mention them all. You know how it is.. If you mention one then someone will say well you could have done it this way too. LOL
Hope the information was helpful though!
If you are going to heat it. I recommend you heat only the hub. Get it nice and hot in an oven or something that will heat evenly. Then install quickly. Once the hub is seated you can let it cool and assemble the rest of the Damper. Oh and dont forget the inner ring goes on before you press the...
ATI doesnt offer anything in their instructions about the Ford crank bolt or installation. Thats why they had us do this article. To give their customers, buying this damper, an exact idea of how to install. These instructions will be on their website and shipped with all the new dampers.
We know the ARP instructions said 100ft lbs. The red locktite and TQ spec is ATIs recommendation for performance and race applications. They said no to the lube. I did use some on the ARP washer though to make sure I got good TQ spec.
There has been ALOT of questions about this lately.. So we worked with JC @ ATI Performance and came up with this article. It will also be on their website to view. Up until now there has been limited information about proper installation. The job isnt complicated but it does require the use of...

I read about these issues so I relocated them before installing the LTs and converting to E85. The 02s are not cheap so I didnt wanna risk burning them up.
I have probably 500 miles on them on e85.
These are the two best pictures I could find. I think you can see where they were mounted. I didnt do it right on top of the other one just so there was enough room for a good weld. Doing it this way ensured I would get a good reading on the 02s.
I hope this helps.
The mild steel should hold up for a few seasons! God knows where this car will be a year from now lol It went from stock to running 9.8s in 10 weeks :headbonk:
Yea its a nice place. Pm me if you ever have any questions man. Or come to the track out in Memphis. Few of us are out there every week almost during the season.
Hey! I would not even touch the mounts.. Unless for some reason you want to go to a solid or poly mount. I only removed the motor mount bracket to give me much more clearance and then raised the motor up. 90% of the nuts are accessible from the bottom. If you have a lift this is a simple job...
Hey man! Normally most things I do I work with John Bonner at DynoSpeed Racing and barrow a lift for a few hours. He is a good friend of mine and does real good work.

Yea I left my mid pipe connection alone for now since it was going into the stock resonator/ catback. I will deal with that when the car actually has a aftermarket catback on it.
There are some brands out there that are very proud of their headers lol
