Boy that didn't take long !:D I'm going to try and slowly integrate the 6sp into the family routine..... worst case (and its not bad), I get to drive it all by myself !
This is an interesting thread. I love the V-8 6spd 50th pkg that I bought. The engine trans combo and the feeling of driving the car thru the gears is really enjoyable. The problem is, it isn't really fitting in well with the family. My wife is scared to drive it and my son (unbelievably)...
I have found that the color match on Dr. Color chip is really good and I have used it on 3 cars. The problem is that when you rub off the excess using their product, it sometimes removes the color you have applied to the chip. It sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries to do it.
I was going to get a base GT with cloth Recaros..... Then swap out the wheels and tires for a nice set of 19's...all this would have brought the price close to my no option GT 50th...... That being said, I would go with the base and dress it up. I really don't see the leather seats holding up well.
The black may hide the dirt better but I can see it will wear easily. I have resorted to making a simple seat cover to protect the bolster. Go buy a light colored bath towel that is close to the ceramic color. At the top of the towel, sew a 6 inch piece of elastic. Drape the towel over the seat...
This...... I sometimes cherish my cars too much.... there are collectables and drivers, and I really think that cars these days are made to last no more than 10 years, because they want you to buy another. I liked certain things on the 50th package, but wish Ford would let you order options...
How do you start the car? ...The wife asked me and after reading the manual, I don't have the answer. I know how to unlock the door, but how about starting it up ?
This is starting to tick me off. The dealer is "The Largest Mustang" dealer in Pa. and not only do they lose one of my keys....there was no mention of the glove box key.
There are different schools of thought on how much gas you put in the tank. Generally you don't want the gas to sit for more than 30 days. I never put more than 6-7 gallons in the tank at a time this time of year.
Yes !
I tried to connect mine last week but the battery cables/connections don't support the permanent connections so you will probably need to use the alligator type The cover also needs to be removed to get to the battery.
