I actually thought the same thing, nothing happened for 5 minutes or so when I plugged it in, then after driving down the road a bit it popped up and said "installing update." There was no indication it was doing anything until then
INSANITY! Haha jk!
Apple actually just updated carplay to have fast app switching using icons on the left which was an improvement, but I do really like the functionality of split screen app windows like showing maps on left and radio on right.
That being said, having used iOS for a decade...
Ok I feel like a moron, I was able to do this easily in January but now when I unzip the file I'm getting 5 separate "syncmyride" .gz files. I've tried 2 separate Macs at my house with the same results: https://ibb.co/m6TLwQ
This is a dumb request, but can someone unzip and organize the nav...
Aight, lemme try again... appreciate you two.
EDIT: So I'm on a Mac, and everytime I unzip the file, it gives me a folder, and inside are all those files... I don't get it: https://ibb.co/m6TLwQ
So real quick, when unzipped, do I drag all 7 of these into the root of the thumb drive and my Mustang will know which one to use?
EDIT: Welp, I can confirm this does NOT work if you're already running the older 2.2 from January, even after a MASTER RESET.
I'd be curious on this as well. Last I read it was kinda shitty paint job... Have they detailed the paint process? How many coats of paint, clear and polishing processes? Are they mixing the colors themselves or ordering the paint?
So question... is there a way to create my own animated boot up screens like this? What type of files are these? Animated gifs? .mp4's? .mov's? Can someone upload one of these boot up animation files so I could take look at it and the static splash photo as well?
So I'm wanting to pick up this front chin splitter but am wanting to do what MMD did here with a section of it painted to match the color of the car http://www.americanmuscle.com/mmd-chin-splitter-1516.html
Does anyone on here have a contact that would knock this out of the park for...
Yeah it's pretty simple, I was more worried about messing up the update via the thumdrive than installing the hub. You take a flathead and slide it into the top behind the lip of the USB charger in the console (there is actually a small space in the middle ground out for you to slide a tool...
That black u shaped tab needs to be depressed before pulling. Use the end of your thumb and fingernail together and then it's easy to remove. Best of luck!
Got my single USB port for inside the console today and popped it out with a mini flathead, snapped in the new one and everything works perfectly! Woohoo!
So two days in a row now I've gotten this error popping up on my 2016 Mustang GT Cali Special. Everything installed fine and it doesn't always happen, but when it does it's locked like this until I restart the car. Anyone else experiencing this?
