The point of my post is not for people to bash me over not checking oil after dealership visit or for not checking it regularly( every gas fill up). I shared this with you guys in case you ever have an issue with your Gt350, I would like those in need to use this post as a resource when...
Spoke with service rep today, Ford contacted dealership and has requested that they speak with a field engineer tomorrow. I asked if it was possible that technician didn't perform oil change correctly and was told that they have a redundancy in place to ensure that correct amount of oil was...
Do you check oil in daily driver every fill up? If so, thats cool. I almost never see any one checking oil at gas station unless they are in a beater with a known oil leak.
I purposefully bought extended warranty and maintenance plan because of mileage I drive, I actually just cancelled them since I will be lemon lawing car. To be honest I've wanted to lemon law car since first motor failed because of obvious reasons, I do admit that this has been my favorite car...
I realized that this is not the car for me, owning a 2017 car that requires checking oil every 500 miles is not practical, I drive 500 miles every 2.5 days, I've never owned a car that needed this level of attention and I've owned lots of makes and models. Should I have checked oil in...
Minor update, got a call from service rep today and was informed that they filled car with oil and engine knock is definitely present. Currently they are awaiting orders from ford since they are not allowed to open up voodoo motor, most likely ford will instruct them to remove motor and install...
It doesn't make since that a new motor would not burn oil for first 5000 miles then start burning oil during the 6-10,000 mile range, maybe because they didn't add enough to begin with the motor had to work extra hard thereby burning oil. Paperwork shows 10 quarts were added. I'm just concerned...
Again, replacement motor went 5000 miles before oil change with no issue, also no low oil indicator came on and issue seemed to develop quickly. I guess I assumed any thing lower than 2 quarts would show up as a low oil warning, I drive 180 miles daily for work and don't drive aggresively.
Originally I took car to a dealership in downtown sacramento, since another nearby dealer performed the motor replacement and oil change the car had to be towed back to them. Supposedly I will find out tomorrow what their plan of action is, since they are not allowed to open motor I can't...
I have driven approximately 4000 miles in 4 weeks, done freeway and city. I have never seen a drop of oil or smoke coming from my car. My first thought too was not enough oil was added but records show they did. Its not possible for 7 quarts to remain hidden through the oil cooler or in a...
