Unplug the ac compressor and fans install new fuse and start the car. See if the fuse pops. If not Plug in the ac compressor and turn it on, see if the fuse pops. If not plug in fan see if fuse pops. With ever one makes it pop now you know what direction to look.
I did the same swap on a 2015 gt from the aluminum diff to the iron one was very easy. I did change the pinion seal and didn’t need any special tools so I’m not sure about that. I used gt350 axle for a cheap upgrade
Fic work just fine as long as you use fic data. I have seen tuners that use injector data that they are use to for other injectors and it doesn’t normally work out.
The system is open before starting the engine. After starting the system uses vacuum and closes the the IMRC’s. At a set rpm or wot the system opens with spring pressure. If you lose vacuum or go wot or gets some boost it will open.

Jump the fan relays to see if they work. If you’re driving on the highway it shouldn’t matter if the fans are working or not. At low speeds yes it will make a difference if your fans are operating correctly. Definitely check the fans before worrying about the thermostat.
