I didn't at first and totally regretted it later. Just do it while it's apart and be done. It's great insurance and a lot cheaper than a new engine...PLUS...peace of mind is a great thing.
I'm going with 780whp.
So far the car is still adding 4-5 degrees of timing and the knock sensors are happy. I have one more pulley, it's a 3.125. after that I'm done until I get my beefed up bottom end all done.
Gonna get some Dyno time when it cools off a little and I have some time.
Some of these numbers make me nervous lol. I'm shooting for 750ish whp. I'm planning on grabbing a block and sleeving it but that's down the road a ways. Don't want to break my block!
Manual car 3.73 gears
KB 2.8lc 3.25 pulley
e54 id1050x
Timing is holding at 21-22°
Lund tuned
Headers and no cats
Waiting on a boost gauge before we continue adding boost but that should be 15# or so.
This is just for fun. I will be dynoing the car in a few weeks...
Go Kenne Bell. The 2.8lc base kit was awesome and was super easy to install. Right now I am tuning with Lund and more boost/e54. The car is an absolute animal and its only on the second revision. Every time I call with questions or need something they have been awesome. I am running the Roush...
Hey everyone. Been super busy at work and life so not much time to concentrate on the Mustang. BUT, all those little hour here...2 hours there over the last several months have added up and SHE CAME ALIVE TONIGHT. Basically gutted the car and tore the timing components all apart so it has been...
Dude....that's how bugs get on it. Lol honestly though..it's under construction a lot. My son was also hating on the back seat feeling like a cave. He will only ride in my work truck, personal truck, or momma's car (which he also hates). He's getting old enough though to where he will appreciate...
Y'all are gonna blast me for this but....2015 GT....375 miles.
I have a work truck soooo....that's my daily. My son is almost 2 now and he LOVES the car. When I get back to working on it he will be in there and can finally ride in it.
One other thing. Don't Care about depreciation. If I cared...
They are very easy to install.
Talk to beefcake. He will get you set up with exactly what you need
Another cool thing is you can simply bolt on there catted connection pipes if you need to run cats at any point.
It's a very nice unit and swaps in pretty easy.
First pic is where I cut for the outlet.
Second pic is of the inlet. I have a couple bends ordered so I can fit one there instead of using 90's. It has to reach the pump outlet which is in the pic.
Everything else is plug and play. Even has a new...
Yup. Got it from beefcake. This thing makes the KB unit look tiny. I'm sure the KB was fine for the lower power level but with the heat here I wanted more.
Added VMP Triple Pass Heat Exchanger and Mishimoto Coolant Tank to the list of mods.
Starting the install of the Fore fuel system today. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm sure I will figure it out.
Picture of the headers all installed
