It doesn't build confidence when you see something like that does it? I had a copy of the Mustang service costs somewhere but I can't find it anywhere. I recall the ecoboost was a little more expensive than the GT though.
I ask myself the same question whenever I buy a new car. I usually end up going to the dealer. The upside of going private is usually a cheaper price but I wonder if they made a mistake, like forgetting to fill the engine with oil or something else, would a small shop have the resources or...
The blinker definitely looks amber and 30 metres photographed with a camera always looks much further away (like closing one eye) which explains why it looked brighter to your eye. All good for the red tint taillights by the look of it.
I think Anchor Room will discount the price but don't (usually) offer a free replacement. Bigworm Graphix do something similar I've heard.
The big cost for us is freight. I asked Bigworm for a few free samples which they offer to everyone and they said they didn't deliver samples to Australia...
You're probably correct about the red tint being legal on the taillights providing the lights are the correct brightness. I spoke to a cop I know who confirmed If the taillights aren't (noticeably) too bright or too dull and were red when lit up, there wasn't a problem as far as the police were...
A simplified version.
AUSTRALIAN VEHICLE STANDARDS RULES - REG 104
Here are the relevant extracts as far as I can tell
iii) for a vehicle built after June 1973 — yellow towards the rear and side.
Note The ADRs only allow yellow direction indicator lights.
4) If a motor...
I think you're right about the visibility if the tint caused it to drop below the required output.
The following is an excerpt from ADR 6 and relates to the turn signals only. It tells me that I need to have someone with the equipment and knowledge check if the tinted lights are legal. I...

I ordered red tint for the taillights and amber for the blinkers...
Diode Dynamics has been working on a new DRL board for Europe/Australian mustangs with a brighter white more suited to use as DRL's than their current colour changing models. The new DRL will be made without the colour changing option. See below
Have Diode Dynamics advised you of the Eu/Au...
I had the MAP intercooler in the checkout cart in the Black Friday Sale but at the last minute I decided to wait. I didn't want to have it sitting around the house until the car arrived and I was sure everything was ok with the engine and find they'd made an improvement to the design in the...
I contacted Ford AU about modifications and warranty because I was thinking about fitting a Catback exhaust. Naturally they said any modification could be detrimental to the warranty but especially anything upstream of a catback because there are engine sensors from the downpipe back to the...
I was thinking about it but at the time none of the manufacturers could confirm their downpipes would fit due to the steering etc being on the RHS and not having sold one fo see either way. That may have changed but I'm not certain.
my car was also built on the 11th April and got to the port on the 18th. I enquired what ship it was going to be on and when it would depart and received the following reply.
" Generally your Mustang will take about 4 weeks to board for the journey. It will now enter quarantine, be treated with...
It looks really (really) nice in that position. After watching the Cjapony parts video I bought the Sto N Sho as well. Then I heard a few comments about the US size number plate being the first thing to hit if the front kisses a high gutter, bending the plate. Once my car arrives I'll have a...
