  1. 2020 GT500 vs Hellcat vs ZL1 - How They Compare Off The Drag Strip [Edmunds Comparison Review]

I think that comes more into play on the PP2 / 1LE front.
  2. 2020 GT500 vs Hellcat vs ZL1 - How They Compare Off The Drag Strip [Edmunds Comparison Review]

Well, those are the tires it comes with from the factory so..? Do you want them tested as-is from the factory or not? At this point it's looking like most of the $20k for the CFTP was spent on Carbon Fiber instead of Track Package.
  3. GT500 vs ZLE

Looks like Throttlehouse is doing a GT500 vs ZLE vs Redeye at Willow Springs with Jason Cammisa and M6G's favorite Randy Pobst. Get your tinfoil hats ready! Also looks like Edmunds released the second half of that test:

  5. GT500 vs ZLE

I believe 'coked up little people' is the preferred terminology now.
  6. Car and Driver GT 500CFTP vs ZL1 1LE

GM didn't say no, they just didn't have a ZLE available for them to use. Same thing with a Redeye for the video, Dodge didn't have one available at the time. The private owners that Cammisa reached out to for a ZLE said no.
  7. GT500 vs ZLE

I'm far from an engine builder, so I'll gladly take some education on this.. but in perusing forums I tend to see pretty similar numbers when it comes to basic bolt-on centri superchargers. 600-700hp seems to be the range for either when it comes to, say, procharger + headers / intake. I know...
  8. GT500 vs ZLE

C'mon guys, we still have 78 pages to go. Don't give up now!
  9. GT500 vs ZLE

I dunno, you gotta make sure those intake manifold welds stay intact
  10. GT500 vs ZLE

This is a serious place for serious discussion! Get out of here with your attempts at humor!
  11. GT500 vs ZLE

Stupid toilet bowl. Cone is definitely not marking an apex. That's heading in to the very sharp left turn so I'm trying to keep to the right. But I never claimed to be a pro driver.
  12. GT500 vs ZLE

It is. Was actually look at the midwest track schedules today. Probably going to hit up the first day at BIR and at least one weekend at Road America, just trying to figure out which one.
  13. GT500 vs ZLE

It's more the leap from 'it doesn't count if you don't have a time slip/prepped surface' to 'GT500 best roll racer evar'. Roll racing (imo) was popularized by the FWD import crowd. Couldn't hook from a dig so might as well start the 'race' while you're already moving. Wasn't trying to imply...
  14. GT500 vs ZLE

God this place makes me feel like I'm having a stroke sometimes. Are they handing out time slips in 'MeXiCo' now? Or are they racing for pink slips like all the cool kids? Keep it on the track
  15. GT500 vs ZLE

Wait what? Why'd you mod it for more power then? Am I missing something here?
  16. Drag Race Showdown: 2020 GT500 vs Challenger Hellcat Redeye vs Camaro ZL1!

Except the ZLE is a "hard core track machine" with heated / cooled seats, AC, stereo, etc.. There's always X car for a track machine.. but what if I want a RWD V8 with a manual and a warranty? If i wanted a pure track car I would have bought a Miata and a trailer. I'd say the GT350 is the...
  17. GT500 vs ZLE

Sounds like 'track' mode steering in the 1LE. Way too stiff and no feedback. I almost always have the steering in tour mode.
  18. Drag Race Showdown: 2020 GT500 vs Challenger Hellcat Redeye vs Camaro ZL1!

You must spend more time over there than I do, because I haven't seen those threads.
  19. Drag Race Showdown: 2020 GT500 vs Challenger Hellcat Redeye vs Camaro ZL1!

It's a track car. FFS, stop acting like chevy is forcing people into the ZLE. The ZL1, and SS 1LE both exist and come with mag ride. Which, according to most reports, is tuned better than Fords implementation. The GT3 replaces some rubber bushings with spherical bearings, as well as solid...
  20. Drag Race Showdown: 2020 GT500 vs Challenger Hellcat Redeye vs Camaro ZL1!

You own a C5 Z06 yet use it as an example as to why modern vettes / chevy products are no good. There's plenty of well documented issues with that car but you seem unwilling to fix or deal with any of them. It'd be like me buying a 2005 Mustang and complaining that Mustangs are underpowered...
