  1. Engine note change/drone when in 6th gear

Ok, got me an a technicality... But in 5th gear at 40mph, it feels like an overdrive gear.
  2. Help me understand E85

Not necessarily. I daily my GT. The flex fuel tune is convenient for me. I don't have to test ethanol percentage out of the pump every time I fill up to make sure it's high enough. The car will automatically adjust after the first 10 minutes or so. If I'm not in an area that has E85 i can...
  3. Help me understand E85

E85 really wakes up the coyote. Easiest extra horsepower you can get. The only con to running it is fuel economy like others have said. But if your car is weekend fun car going E85 is a no brainer. You won't regret it at all. I personally run a flex fuel tune because E85 isn't always...
  4. Engine note change/drone when in 6th gear

Aren't 5th and 6th gears basically over drive gears? 6th gear at 40 seems crazy to me. Even 6th gear at 50 seems crazy unless you're on flat ground.
  5. Roush Phase 2 (installed by Ford) or Whipple Stage 2 (Installed by shop) on my 2021 GT Premium?

Sounds like for what you're wanting the Roush is perfect. I have a work buddy that has a '19 PP1 with the stage 2 Roush kit installed at 1000 miles and he has almost 30k on it now. No issues other than traction. lol. He still has 275's on the back. Plenty of power for having something fun...
  6. My 1st Mach1 sighting in the wild

I've seen several in south west Ohio. A black 1 in my town. A jet fighter gray HP going through my town. My brother in law owned a red one a short period of time. (he said he wanted a faster streetcar). I regularly see a non HP jet fighter gray one around where I work. I've tried to give him the...
  7. Yellow Blocks on Front Springs

Classic case of "human see human do". It's turned into an aftermarket demand as well!
  8. Yellow Blocks on Front Springs

This must be Ford's version of Dodge's yellow splitter guards. lol
  9. Jacking rail?

Check out post #10. Steeda posted that info.
  10. JLT CAI Tune for 2020 GT Premium?

I run a JTL cai with an E85 flex tune on my '18. I like having a tuner to use for other things other than just to load a tune. Even on 93 pump gas the car feels more a live. The IATs are only a few degrees above ambient while driving. They do raise at a red light but go back down while moving. I...
  11. OK... Just got my first Mustang in about 15 years... some pics and a Q.

I would say the MT-82 is sloppy, notchy and inconsistent compared to the Tremec. The MT-82 actually feels really good running through the gears at higher rpm's but "normal" driving it feels a little sloppy.
  12. Chipped Door Solutions - Bullitt

I just saw this a few days ago. May be worth a watch.
  13. Oil change

It's not hard at all. Can be messy though because the 10 quarts come out in a hurry so make sure your drain pan is sufficient.
  14. Oil drain plug

That's an expensive and time consuming option just to get rid of the plastic drain plug. If you're adding this while adding other upgrades, maybe. If you're worried about the integrity of your plastic drain plug... No.
  15. Oil drain plug

    A little play is normal.
  16. Steering wheel removal

I used a small Allen wrench. It was kind of a pain to push the pins in. Be patient. Lol
  17. Oil drain plug

I've used the same plastic plug for almost 3 years before I heard somewhere it's supposed to be replace every other oil change. Last oil change I put in a Ronin drain plug. I like the idea of controlling the flow. I have a buddy that takes his somewhere to get changed and they won't reuse it...
  18. 6spd manual durability

I had my 3-4 shift fork break on my '18 at around 40k miles. It didn't make a sound when it happened. Felt like a normal shift. But when I let the clutch out and hit the gas the rpms just went up and nothing was there. The dealership upgraded all the forks and replaced some gears. Took 2...
  19. What tuners can we use that show Ethanol %?

I've been thinking about installing a Fuel-it Ethanol analyzer. Looks like you can check ethanol content on your phone. Currently using a flex fuel tune from Livernois and their My Calibrator Touch shows ethanol content...
