EcoBoost Auto here that's on plant hold, not sure if it's waiting for a truck or something related to a recall. However at the same time I was allowed to drive an EcoBoost a few days ago at the dealer so I don't know what might be the issue if they're still allowed to sell. My guess is it's not...
I currently have AAA in Michigan and will be paying $150/mo ($905 for 6 months) in Michigan and I'm 24. It's only a rise of approx $3/mo compared to my 2013 Fusion Titanium. Granted I'm getting the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost Premium. Overall I'm happy it's not going up too much!
Mine just shipped! So it's possible that they're just awaiting trucks or rail (mine is going to Rochester, MI which is 45miles away so it is getting transported by truck.
Hey everyone. So I got an update for my order on a 2015 EcoBoost Premium and found out it's being Held at the plant. Did anyone else have theirs held as well? Is it possible they're holding it for another problem or do they sometimes hold it while the dealer waits for some more cars to be built...
I think now more than ever is when we need to take into account that these are build 1 cars more likely than not. As they build more cars they will likely have less issues, and I'm sure if there are some grave issues with gaps the dealer can call that a quality issue and fix some of it. If my...
That's awesome! I wonder if they need any volunteers for the Ecoboost PP, I'd definitely be willing to have them measure my car so I can get a set of winter wheels and tires from them. Granted I still have to wait a week or so to get my car since it's currently in the body shop being built.
Does anybody know how long is the typical time between "sent to plant" and "body shop?" Mine was sent to plant last Friday and hasn't made it to body shop yet.
EDIT: Never mind, mine just got sent a week later, although I'm not sure if that's the norm or not.
My guess is it's dependent on location. My dealer is approx 45 miles away from the plant. I'm thinking that the estimates are generous since many people have had cars come much earlier than estimated.
Worst case scenario I'm planning to walk out and go somewhere else for a Mustang or just get a completely different car altogether. I'm time constrained as my lease ends in November and I'll need something to drive haha.
Not sure if anyone else saw this video yet, but I found a video of the Mustang Ambient Lighting and MyColor settings, it's pretty sweet! Colors change in the instrument panel/gauges/door handle, as well as the illuminated sill plates (if equipped) and of course the cup holders and footwells...
The main reason I'm worried is my dealer put mine in as a stock order. I'm getting A-plan so hopefully I'm not affected. Like I said my dealer has treated me right but has been pretty quiet lately even when my car got "sent to plant" on Friday.
