18 PP1 10auto, 1800 miles, including 850 mile from dealer in NC to our home in Destin and besides clicking on top of front struts, a bad batch of top strut mounts, the car is absolutely amazing! Had 85, 87, and 88 5.0's and can't believe how far this car has come. Every option except Magnaride...
Good rules for the deal
1) As soon as you walk into a dealership, they know that you are at least as interested in buying than they are selling.
2) The first salesperson to come up to you is usually the 'new person', not always, but their best, busiest salesman have been there and established...
Ouch, glad you were ok! I had my backend try to come around on me going over a bridge, I was like wtf, then I realized the cruise control was trying to maintain speed on an ice covered bridge! Oh
those Overwelming tires, just a dusting of snow and the GT couldn't move forward at all, even on...
I think it was less than 2 months for those cheap headlight and foglight switches came off in my hand; much preferred my 85s dashboard setup. But it was a RAW Overwelming car obviously as I later slammed the rear qtr into a bunch of mailboxes and couldn't get the hell outta there. The fuelpump...
I don't miss the Playschool plastic, actually Playschool wouldve been more durable. Oh and that 3rd gear shift miss when racing, or the screws holding the door switches, or the multiple dashboard panels creeking, or that pathetic steering wheel, or.......no, the S550 is an Overwelmingly amazing!
I'll never feel the same thrill I felt when first driving my used 85 GT no power windows and the last non- fuel injected GT offered. I was 17 and just like I remembered my first kiss, first.....well you get the idea. If that's the raw power you were referring to, than I agree. It wasn't so...
Sure does, my dealer called and postponed today's appointment as he's low on technician's, so two Fridays from now. I'm going to try myself with my wife turning the wheel and me trying to locate it.
I know it's embarrassing grown adults taken aback by these Sports cars Incredible Design, Engineering and Pure machines. I'm supposed to want a Crew cab pickup but the sheer enjoyment of these thoroughbreds are too much!
I have an appointment on Friday, I'm guessing a bulletin from Ford to the Dealers will soon come out and reveal some parts out of spec, or assembly flaw, but they will have a population of build dates and numbers to narrow down the units affected, I like others here will post my diagnosis. All...
I've only had the car 3 weeks and 1300 miles, but having a 1995, 1997, 1998, 5 speeds and then kids and minivans/SUVs, I drove both, really can't go wrong either way but in my case, the 10A is one of the finest transmissions I've driven.
You do need to 'learn' what to expect when changing drive...
Just picked up GT PP1 built 6/2018 and have clicking as well. On tight turns at low speed lock to lock steering wheel. I have 1200 miles did it from day one. Other thing I have is an air leak upper left at top of windshield where I see what appears to be an opening where seam sealer stops...
