Cost while has a lot to do of it, NVH is another huge aspect of suspension design. Majority of car owners do not take corners fast, don't do enough to experience wheel hop. Ford is looking at the 80-90% who care more about NVH compliance than the 10-20% who care about stiff suspension.. All OEMs...
For autocross do you think there would be a difference between the koni yellows or pro-action shocks? Yellows are cheaper but the pro-action can fit more tire sizes which is awesome. However it wouldn't be worth it to me if the pro-action shocks wouldn't be as competitive as the yellows. The...
The shocks do transfer weight slowly which is nice for the street but bad for autocross and such. Would need some legit coilovers or koni's to fix the weight transfer. If money is no object you can get double adjustable coilovers (rebound and compression) and eliminate the problem period.
Just unplugging the sensor won't fix the issue. I mean that fact that oil gets that hot period isn't good on any component in that system. OEMs won't address problems unless they get warranty claims, either expensive ones or lots of claims. Plus the fact when I emptied my fluid after 3000 miles...
I really like the bigger core of the Mishimoto radiator, however, I would love it if they finish their dedicated oil cooler. A lot of the FRS/BRZ track crowd has them and it runs way cooler than stock.
I run about -2.5 and the front tires look fine in the front from my autocross runs. Going to a track day this weekend and will see how it looks after that.
Very interesting from the both of you. I totally agree with how the rear bar feels and drives like. I haven't heard many people having the rear bar WITH shocks so it should be interesting to see what happens. Traditionally a RWD car likes a big front bar so the two different approaches is cool...
I also have the Strano rear bar on my GT PP, with the camber mod and rear bar the car, at least for me, is so neutral. Definitely worth the $160 the bar is worth. I am on the stock pirellis if that helps.
Just had my first event at the KC region autocross, and won the class by 1 sec! I just have the camber mod and the strano rear bar on the middle setting and stock tires. The car is amazing! I hardly had any understeer and with the bar I could feather the throttle to control under and oversteer...
I also have PP nickle luster wheels on my DIB gt, I have gotten so many compliments on them plus I think that the silver makes DIB more blue while the darker wheels makes DIB more purple.
I did the track night in america last year with the SCCA up in Michigan, it was one of the best track events ever. They were very laid back and really chilled, way better than any autocross event I went to. I highly recommend it.
