This may be a really dumb question, but why would Ford keep producing its āperformanceā car in the factory that canāt work with performance tires for a chunk of each year? They have assembly plants in other parts of the country. Seems kinda like trying to run a waterpark in Anchorage
I can at least speak anecdotally on Hondas. Iām getting rid of a 2018 Honda Civic, and it has been a turd from day one. A long list of issues, but the worst was the design did not properly attach the engine splash shield. I eventually had to just have it removed
So Iām very much looking forward...
I got to ride in a Mach 1 at a Ford Experience thing set up at Barrett Jackson last weekend. It took away any doubts. I imagine those drivers could make even a Prius dance, but those things went amazing. Iād buy one today if i could find a dealer that could order one and wasnāt adding markups.
I got to do a better test drive of a mustang on Saturday and it felt way better than the first time, as fast and fun as I was hoping. Definitely more fun to drive than the s5. I think the other one was acting up because they let me drive it while it was on fumes.
May not make a difference...
Ive got a quote from them, and Iām going to call Monday. I had been trying to avoid the hassle of ordering out of state, and itās just caused me more lol.
Tried to order one a Mach 1 at the dealer today and was told they couldnāt order any more until November. 2 more bad experiences at two different dealers later and I am beyond frustrated.
Just heard back from the Houston dealership Iāve been working with. According to them, all the colors for the Mach 1 are staying the same for 2022. Iām 70% theyāre lying and they just donāt want to say the 2022 order catalog is still locked, but thought Iād pass it along.
I thought for sure that I would be buying a new mustang of some sort in the next month, but today has left me shaken.
On a lark today I stopped by an Audi dealership to give an S5 a try. Thereās one that I walk by every day in my work parking lot, and noticed I kept giving it a second look...
Are you there god? Itās me Michael. I know we havenāt talked much recently, but please let that green be an option for the regular mustangs. It needs a good green š
I have been pondering this too. I donāt have an estimate, but I know Brenspeed swapped an auto into an ā08 Bullitt once. You could see if they could do it and give an estimate?
I don't suppose there are any rumors the dark green color they're using on the bullitt will become a regular option are there? For those of us still waiting for our friends to teach us how to drive a manual haha
