  1. Guard 2015 Mustang coupe at the Detroit Auto Show

One week from today (2/6/14), I'll be viewing the pictured Mustang at the Portland Auto Show, so I'll be able to get a fix on the Guard color. I suspect that Magnetic will continue to appeal to me. Too bad Ford won't have the new F-150 at the show also.
  2. Detailed look at the 2015 Mustang's I4 Ecoboost Engine

As a DIYer oil/filter changer, I would be thrilled to note in pics #3 & #9 above the location and thread-end upright position of the oil filter, especially for pre-filling the filter prior to installation.
  3. Detailed look at the 2015 Mustang's I4 Ecoboost Engine

I never owned an I4 motorcycle, but I sure loved the sounds (i.e. little to none) of my two 3 cylinder water cooled Suzukis and five 4 & 6 cylinder opposed GoldWings...no vibes either, contrary to every I4 automobile engine I've owned since 1962.
  4. Want To Guess Mileage Claims For The Turbo 4

With the probable manner in which most 2.3EB models will be driven, I doubt that the V6s will be at the bottom of the MPG scale.
  5. Goodyear Eagle F1 tire OE on 2015 Ford Mustang I4 and V6

On another forum that I follow, The Conti DWS is the overwhelming favored replacement for the OEM tires.
  6. Goodyear Eagle F1 tire OE on 2015 Ford Mustang I4 and V6

According to several industry sources, the 'standard fitment' on the 2015 Mustang GT will be 235/50/18 A/S rubber by Pirelli.
  7. Cars.com rates the 2015 Mustang at Detroit debut

And of course, encourage continuing annual future sales.
  8. Interior - seats

After DECADES of black leather interiors in MANY new vehicles, I am so ready for a change. In my most recent car I opted for silver-grey fabric and love it. But, I'm hoping for an exterior Magnetic/Silver/Guard 2015 Mustang available with the saddle interior.
  9. Are you buying 2015 Mustang?

Are those mockups on the floor Guard & Magnetic?
  10. 2015 Mustang Appearances

So far, none of the 20 U.S. Motor Trend sponsored auto shows, e.g. Providence, have indicated the inclusion of the 2015 Mustang. So many shows, too few Mustangs.
  11. 2015 Mustang in Deep Impact Blue Spotted at Barrett Jackson

If a HIB GT with a tweaked fuel filler door shows up in Portland next month, I'll know it came from the Houston show.
  12. Mustang (& Others) Photos and Videos from 2014 Detroit Auto Show

Yes, as my inquiry suggests I'm aware of that but why name a vehicle after a star cluster? But on the other hand, why name a Ford after a WW II fighter...or a fish, or a snake, or a...? Oh well, forget it...Ford also had a Comet to keep The Pleiades company in the universe.
  13. What percent of Mustangs are GT?

With the caveat "...any guesses", my guess is that a greater proportion of boosted 2.3 engines will be trashed long before the 5.0 engines, or in the alternative, the 2.3s will require more maintenance $$ to keep them running acceptably.
  14. Mustang (& Others) Photos and Videos from 2014 Detroit Auto Show

Similarly, I have difficulty relating the vehicle name Suburu to 'The Sisters' star cluster aka 'The Pleiades'.
  15. Take it for what it's worth....

Re: choosing the I4 vs the V6, IMO the jury is still out on the question of future performance and/or maintenance issues with carbon buildup on intake valves of GDI engines. With all the debate, catch can installs, etc., I'm still waiting for manufacturers to candidly acknowledge the issue and...
  16. Goodyear Eagle F1 tire OE on 2015 Ford Mustang I4 and V6

Being a summer tire, the Conti ExtremeContact DW would not be suitable for winter climes albeit a great choice for your locale.
  17. Goodyear Eagle F1 tire OE on 2015 Ford Mustang I4 and V6

Is this tire's tread pattern something new? A review of numerous tire vendor's websites and the Goodyear site doesn't offer any pics of an A/S F1 with a similar tread pattern.
  18. Detailed look at the 2015 Mustang's I4 Ecoboost Engine

Great pics...nice tech. Thanks for the post. Now, all Ford needs to do is add two more cylinders to make that engine a gorgeous 3.5 inline with exhaust notes to match. I just can't bring myself to put a raspy-sounding (likely) 4-pot in my 2015, so I'll opt for the V6.
  19. Are you buying 2015 Mustang?

If you consider 'price gouging' to include paying MSRP and/or above, yes there will be gouging in select markets but not all. Experience tells me that some markets (e.g. California) appear to seldom offer less-than-MSRP pricing on new releases while other markets (e.g. Oregon-Washington) readily...
  20. Why no Naturally Aspirated 3.5L?

Since 1989, I have owned eight new vehicles including four V6 models of two each from GM & Ford...I adore V6 engines and will continue to favor the purchase of them in the future, including a 2015 Mustang this year. If Ford is monitoring, I support the continued offering of a V6 in the...
