I haven't pulled my car out of the garage in 5 weeks because of this rotten winter we're having in the tri-state area. And now I'm glad given all the tools out there who don't care about having trailer hitches or opening their doors into yours or bumping you parking or leaving their dumbass...
they have brackets that attached under the chin spoiler. Sto n sho is one example: http://www.cjponyparts.com/license-plate-bracket-sto-n-sho-2015/p/LPB39/
Or you can do what I do and not put one on. I haven't used a front plate in 5 years.
I thought I had a rattle on the passenger side and only heard it at higher speeds. Was driving me nuts for an entire day. Believe it or not it was something sticky stuck to my wheel and it was making noise as the wheel turned. I pulled it off and the noise was gone. Long shot, I know, but...
My guess is your experiencing the result of summer tires in the cold weather. Give the snow/wet mode a try. I live in NJ and it's been freezing cold this week and I find the car is more planted in the snow/wet mode.
Why would you ever have trash in your car? I don't let anyone eat or drink in my car, not even me! And I always blow my nose before I leave so I won't need a tissue in the car. Those things make a lot of dust. ;-)
I live in NJ and had a 2011 GT with summer tires for 4.5 years. Drove it in the rain and once in a blue moon got stuck having to drive it in the snow. Obviously, it was not great in the snow and not great in the cold rain, especially with a solid rear axle, but as long as I was careful and did...
Very glad you are ok. Cars are just things and can be replaced. Can I ask, did you have the car in rain/snow mode and how fast were you going? And again, all that really matters is that no one got hurt!
The homelink buttons work great. Was able to get rid of that ugly garage door clicker that used to hang on the visor of my old car. Much cleaner inside with the homelink!
Definitely wait for the new parts. Well worth it. You can deal with the damage in the short run to ensure you have a perfect replacement part for the future. Don't half-ass it with paint and fixes at the dealer. I bought a car a couple of years ago and the sales guy backed it up into the wall...
You should try a service like "we buy any car" or 1800 Car Cash or Carmax and see if they'll give you 3k for it. Much easier than selling it yourself privately.
