Bought this as a beater. It ran and drove but the ignition got stuck in off. I figured out how to start it after drilling the ignition out but now the anti theft thing kills the motor after about 5 seconds. Any ideas? The cavalier forums suck

No. You dont have to remove the bumper. Theirs a youtube video from quick latch. You just peel the side part back enough to work and put a towel between it to cushion and space the bumper out.

Kinda been noticing this a lot lately with the top down. Did all the basic speaker upgrades, sub upgrade in factory box, forscan bass roll off ect. Sounds amazing with the top up. Top down its like the power to the radio gets cut. I even tested it in the garage with motor off and top up and down...

BTW my 400 car idea failed. The ignition is messed up and wont start now. So 400$ paperweight. Sucks because I drove it and it does drive good, then the key got weird with turning so I pulled the column apart and tried turning the actual ignition switch and got nothing. Uhg.

I might try an experiment today. Masking tape on the door panel top. That's the only thing he scratched. I covered the seats with big ass blankets.

Just adjust the quick latches. Took me a few readjustments to get the gap a bit tighter. Took me a few hours to get it perfect but I still need to tighten the passenger side latch down farther.
