  1. Considering legal action, CSM closed out ticket without replacing motor

Don't reply if you don't read the thread. No one has done anything to the car. Do you know what a bore scope is? I am a stress engineer but I am pretty sure you don't have to be one to understand marring on the sleeves is bad. I appreciate the input everyone. I was surprised when the...
  2. Cars.com M4 vs PP2 on the track

    lol at cars.com just lol.
  3. Considering legal action, CSM closed out ticket without replacing motor

    1) Okay, thanks for your opinion on my non description of the symptoms that I never offered 2) Congratulations, it did lead to a noise. Who would have thought that cyclical metal reverberation holds a unique characteristic based upon resonant operation parameters such as RPM? 3) Their...
  4. Ford Motor Co. Stock Plummets... Dividend Cut?

Look at GE. Things can always get worse. Also, Ford has crashed harder than GE in the RECENT past. Think about that.... It's considered a value trap right now because there's no reason to expect their growth to outpace their costs.
  5. Considering legal action, CSM closed out ticket without replacing motor

I don't know about that. I don't think Ford allows for satisfaction of certain issues unless a specific path and complaint is followed. I told the dealerships and techs exactly what the issue was and they just didn't even bother to scope it. It makes it look like they're not willing to or are...
  6. Considering legal action, CSM closed out ticket without replacing motor

What do you think my approach is exactly? My approach with Ford or my approach with the car? I DID present the "symptoms." That's what lead to them just comparing how two vehicles sound. That's actually the type of advice that leads to this whole mess. Personally, if my car is messed up I...
  7. UPDATE 9/17/2018 - Car is fixed!!! Mustang engine noise video!

From the dealer? Mine held it for a week to just compare it to how another sounds. I scoped it myself and found damage in cylinders 7 & 8. I wouldn't hope for much.
  8. For those that have had your car in for repairs, did the dealership provide a loaner car?

Went through that the past few weeks and they denied a loaner for a motor with bad cylinder sleeves. It has been the worst customer service experience from a car company that I have personally had. The denial of a loaner is how they make it inconvenient for you to bring the car in. They will...
  9. Considering legal action, CSM closed out ticket without replacing motor

Do you guys know of another person I can contact other than the initial CSM I was forwarded to by the Ford customer service line? The CSM basically said "we can't do anything until a dealer acknowledges the problem" despite me providing proof. The local dealers refuse to do anything besides...
  10. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

Yeah I just checked on my car and they're stamped. I saw a video where they looked to be solid, so I was hoping that was where the difference laid.
  11. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

The vertical link has to be changed in order to accommodate the style of bushing that isolates movement to a single direction. The stock bushings allow for slight twisting mount points. I don't think more strength is necessary for the power the Ford cars run at, but for directly coupled...
  12. Suspension Recommendation ~$2,500

If it's for wheel hop then the stiffer bushings make sense for reducing cyclical & un-ideal forward rotation of the hub assembly from any other resonant suspension components. The Ford race cars wouldn't need this because they're not starting from a stop constantly. The factory link itself is...
  13. Hesitant on purchase..

Don't deal with those people. Like ^^^ said have it shipped. 17s should sell for under 35k right now. Shipping should be under 5k in a worse case scenario.
  14. Who drives their low mount turbo car in the rain?

Yeah if water gets in the turbos then it gets in your oil. I would not drive it in the rain. I've hydro-locked in the rain with just a low intake before. This resulted in a bent rod. Drive at your own risk.
  15. How does the LT1 handle power compared to the 2018 Coyote?

Thank you! I knew precisely none of this.
  16. How bad did ford Sandbag the Ecoboost?

Those are all non issues for the rest of the turbo 4 cylinder community. If the EB can't withstand EGTs from a turbo application then that's another sandbag but I HIGHLY doubt that's the case. It would just take a different tune, which would be required anyways. I can see for a stock setup...
  17. How bad did ford Sandbag the Ecoboost?

The integrated exhaust manifold is always going to be a barrier for exhaust pressures. I'd say that's a pretty intentional sand bag.
  18. afraid of the 2018 GT? buy now or no?

Ah I stand corrected. The answer lies in the middle.
  19. afraid of the 2018 GT? buy now or no?

You're off about a magnitude on your sales figures. Ford sold about 5k mustangs in total last month. 80% were definitely not GTs. 10% would be reasonable.
  20. afraid of the 2018 GT? buy now or no?

Personally, I think the PP1 mustang interior was the best out of everything I test drove. I traded in a Evo X and can say it's interior was crap comparatively so I assume by Japanese you're referring to the luxury brands? My friend's 370z and my former DD 9g civic are not nice on the inside...
