  1. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Just spent a bit of time looking at reviews for these, they seem to be a good product line. How do you find using it in terms of time to fully dry and maneuverability around the car? This looks like it might be the next candidate to add to my cleaning kit :)

You were absolutely right - I did the 5 minute removal of the sound tube (just the quick and easy part visible in the engine bay) - and the drone is gone! Or perhaps it would be better described as resonance than drone. Still also enjoying the lovely new sound :)
  3. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Sounds like a good enough excuse to go on a 500km roadtrip to me! I haven't removed the sound tube yet, but I have been thinking about it and now it'll be the next item on the list of things to do. If I was more organised I could have done it while fitting the exhaust since it was up on the...
  4. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Fitted my Roush axle-back over the weekend. On that first start up; wow, what a noise! When I got my H-Pipe installed I could tell it made a little deeper tone and slight increase in volume if I paid attention. This Roush, on the other hand, has - completely - transformed the sound of the car...
  5. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Ah gotcha - I would have at least raised an eyebrow if that was the "can't really find a problem" excuse given; or if they said rear blinker fluid was low :) The dealer I've been going to has been good so far, including a previous car (Fiesta with the awful Powershift transmission). The problem...

Thanks for the hint; this doesn't seem to be the cause. That's an...interesting reason. I'll be a little embarrassed if this is the problem! Mind you I don't have any aftermarket sound system parts.

Certainly I'll share my experience once I have it fitted. The only caveat is that I don't a Roush H Pipe though; the one I have was a custom one done up by the local exhaust shop.I did get this made slightly smaller than most I found off the shelf (2.25 inches vs 2.5 inches) as my intention was...
  8. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

Yep that's the spot. Of course I should have thought of doing a search prior, seems obvious now... I did so and this is the thread: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/who-cut-my-carpet-below-the-seat-to-check-the-vin-number.47715/#post-1598965

Ok great, at least it's confirmed that the Queenslanders have this :) so it's probably an interesting part of the manufacturing process. Thanks guys!

It certainly does sound good, an a pretty affordable piece of kit too. I'm hoping it pairs well with the H Pipe that I currently have. In other news I was giving the interior a bit of a clean, pulled out the front carpet mats and put the seats all the way back (very rare for me to do, I'm...
  11. What did you do to your Aussie S550 today..

I haven't so much as done it to the car yet, however I did order a Roush axle-back exhaust. It hopefully should be delivered next week then I'll see about fitting it. Not a bad way to finish this very wet work week!

Oh well :frown: it was worth a shot.
  13. MRR Wheels fix up your 6th Gen special. M600 19" or 20"

Is there any chance that you would ship a set to Australia?

I finally replaced the hideous stock billboards with new numberplate holders (Craig's bracket at the front, Kingpin at the rear). I've had the car since last September; I know I should be shot for having driven with those big black boards for 5 months. All it took was a rainy weekend to find the...
  15. Recommended Oil Grade/Specification

Which Brisbane dealer is that? I'll probably need to take mine in for servicing in the coming months, and would be good to know just in case it is the same one. Happy for a private message if you prefer not to name.
  16. Mustang repeat buyers?

I guess I'll weigh in as a mid 20's who only bought less than a month ago: I'm not planning on getting another one, this is going to be a long term keeper. Ever since it was announced that a RHD would be produced and sold in Australia I lusted after one; now that I have it, it will be a great...
  17. Australian spec Mustang owners photos

Yep you guessed it! I used them as I saw they got a great rap and they deserve it. I thought the car looked good when i picked it up - despite some water spots courtesy of dealer delivery - but now I think it looks on another level. The tinting is was a pro job too.
  18. Thunk in Driveline

That's interesting. What were the general details of the engineer's report? I just picked up my GT last week and I too was somewhat concerned with the thunk sound through gearshifting; for me the noise is most pronounced when shifting from second to third.

It was Scenic Ford in Beaudesert. I don't think I ever paid attention to the number plates; I only thought about it once I picked up the car and saw how clunky they were. A quick search on these forums afterwards showed that I could have something different... hindsight is great I guess. So...
  20. Aussie M6G Member Map

Added mine, pin number 41. It looks like I'm the only one so far in the Redlands for Brisbane :( I have seen quite a few getting about in the area though.
