The problem with electric power steer system is everything is internal to the steering rack, including control module. Unless you have a bad ground or a blown fuse.

I had this on my 2013 Ford Focus had this same fault "steering assist". The internal electric motor in the steering rack went out. It cost me about $1800 to replace. Good Luck.

I don't think you understand. The handling package was bought and paid for. But was never installed on the car nor parts put in the car.... it's missing completely.

That's what I read too... This code is for diesel trucks, but I got the same code (P050E) driving home last night. I installed and tuned a GT350 intake & throttle body (87mm) 2 weeks ago. Going to call the speed shop today.
